Which worked in a movie like The Blair Witch Project and helped sell the whole experience. Here, I'm not sure it's necessary. I mean, sure, we the audience enjoy it, but if the actors aren't having fun going to work (not saying they aren't having fun, but it could quickly become a negative experience for them) then is it really worth it? I fail to see any win in that. Besides, after seeing several of Shia's movies (with or without TFs included) I can honestly say the guy can act. Sure he's got some goofiness in every part, but it works. He has no need for genuine fear, he can convey it without having it. Megan Fox, on the other hand...she needs a bit of polishing on her skills, but she's getting there, and scaring the shit out of her isn't going to help. Indeed he was. For *this* TF universe. Had Animated made it to the big screen (either animated or CGI/human hybrid) ...not so much. Any other TF universe ...also not so much. That's not knocking him. I like the Bayverse TFs, I really do. But they're clearly his, all his, and while it works for the most part, it does leave something to be desired. (such as character background...) Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. Seriously. A simple misprint. It's due out June 26th, 2009. This summer. (Was it ever said why he didn't shoot for another July 4th weekend this time around? Anyone? Bueller... Bueller...) Oh no hype. Everything he's said is completely true. If you've missed the Entertainment Tonight segments (I think even The Insider had some as well), they show the Egypt battle being filmed and it's just wall to wall, balls to the wall insane. Explosions, gunfire (which as Shia mentioned, blanks loads can kill you) planes flying overhead, etc. He's not hyping a damn thing. It was jawdroppingly awesome, and I can't wait to see the finished product, but I think going to the extreme of actually frightening them is just a bit too far. Charlize Theron did all of her own stunts for Aeon Flux (which, isn't as bad as critics claim...) and nearly broke her own neck. Scared her so bad that she had a clause put in her contract that she won't do stunts anymore. Too much is too much.
I believe this article. When you see how much is fake and how much is real, and then you notice the little people running around while busses are blowing up and cars are flying into building five stories up, it's pretty trippy.

I can't think of one that's bigger." This is why Bay is perfect for directing these movies. If anyone needed to take care of making big ass explosions in a film, he's the man. I'm sure he has a ton of fans in the armed forces, else he might not get this kind of access and cooperation.
How many films already exist that have "big ass explosions"? I want to see Transformers-You know like the title of the Movie.

We get it. You don't think he can act, and you don't like him. Duly noted. Now, onto the other part of your ...post. The robots aren't there until they're added in with the digital animators. The pictures we're seeing are of the filming process before any special effects are added in. I'd say the explosions are special effects, but since they actually happened right then and there, I don't consider them effects. If we saw the robots in these pictures...um...well as neat as that'd be, it's literally impossible.
