Police: LaBeouf was not at fault - MSN Movies News
Well.......by the allspark.....
But he was still DUI (report didn't clear him of it), I suppose
Actually, he might NOT have been drunk driving...
Reading the report, they brought him in for SUSPECTED drunk driving... it may well be that that was based on the previous reports of him doing stuff in public drunk/not having a breathalyzer on hand. There's no actual confirmation that he got CHARGED with drunk driving, which going off this report seems to be the case.
If I was a cop, I'd be suspicious if I knew the guy had a history of drinking and then doing stupid things.
Now I'm curious what his BAC was.
Sure he wasn't. Freaking cover up.
If he was drunk and seen as at fault, he'd probably pay a fine or something. But it wouldn't be covered up. They give celebrities slaps on the wrists, but they don't let them go with no fining or anything.
I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Accidents happen all the time. Shia's not a bad guy, his other "arrests" are pure comedy. Nothing like most of the other young hollywood idiots.
People still won't take this seriously and bash him as usual, but w/e.
I'm sure they gave him a blood test at the hospital to determine what his blood alcohol level was. When those results come back, we should know if he was drunk or not. Until then I will withhold judgment.
I was just kidding. If there is proof then so be it. But the kid better not screw up again.
shia arested, this is bad comedy
So I never knew that TFW became a pop culture site.
TFW is looking more like TMZ lately...though TMZ is pretty funny sometimes...
Well, maybe it is not as bad as people originally thought. However, like others have said, he still very well may have been under the influence, which is dumb as hell. But what I don't get is some of the hateful remarks I have seen in other threads about this, saying he is a "hack" and how the movie franchise would do better without him anyway. I'm not saying he is a young Marlon Brando or something, but IMO the kid brought a lot of humor and charisma to his role in TF. Indiana Jones, not so much, but I thought that whole movie sucked ass, so the blame cannot fall squarely on his shoulders for that.
I think we have to remember that he's a young actor who has shot up to stardom, and there is a lot of allure to the party life in his environment. The Hollywood celebrity lifestyle is trademarked by outrageous behavior, drug/ alcohol use, and myriad temptations to exercise poor judgment. I'm not condoning his actions if he was in fact driving under the influence (with a passenger no less), but I think there are a lot of sanctimonious people on the board that forget most of us have screwed up at one time or another, and it likely occurred in our late teens or twenties. Hopefully he learns a lesson from this whole ordeal and reins in some of his behavior .
Not the way I read it:
I agree with this.
Yeah, probably. I, however am glad that he wasn't to blame. Chances are he wasn't drinking at all.
Though really, now I'm dissapointed in the guy who ran the red light.
If the other driver indeed ran a red light, then I wouldn't want to be in his place,
given the fact that Shia probably won't be able to work for a month. I smell a lawsuit.
Shia continues to spectacularly fail at committing crime as he goes out drunk-driving with a hot girl in the passenger seat, and gets hit by someone else.
Next week: Shia attempts to rob a bank, but accidentally gives his gun and the contents of his wallet to a charity collector in the street.
