I would imagine a lot of journalists have to have played it by now to get any kind of timely review for a newstand publication, which is the case with the majority of games- but now it's a big deal because it's Halo 3. Erg, I still say the series is good but overrated (so far).

Must be nice to be paid to play video games. I bust my ass and she sits on hers, and probably gets 7 figures for it. :(  Man, where did I go wrong? :(

Yeah, videogame journalists don't exactly rake in the huge scratch. It is however, an awesome job.

Agreed...especially Halo 2. Could the campaign mode of that game possibly been any shorter?

It was short, but it was designed and paced better than Halo 1. The first game felt long and drawn out at several points.

    Also, invisible face stabbings FTW!

Halo 1 was enough for me. But being a mostly PC gamer, I expect more from my shooters than gameplay that looked and felt so much like a mix of Quake 1 and 2. But that's just me. I'm not holding my breath for Halo 3, or indeed have any urge to play 2.

You know a game is over hyped when you just have to play it to get a news report about you.

No, it's not just you. I was playing games like, and even better than Halo (ie. Unreal) way before, and then after Halo. So nothing about the game really impresses me. That they have embraced what was originally a generic (helmeted) character and started writing all these intricate stories around him (after the game boomed) as if it had always been this huge plan is funny (but not uncommon).

    Why, because she's female?

And I thought she stated her and the other guy went through it on Heroic.
