What with the buzz recently about unreleased toys and designs ( Astrotrain prototype, old Takara concept designs and of cause the Hartman's auctions), we thought we'd keep the theme going with galleries of our latest buys.

These are Super Highbred Model Arcee and Super Highbred Model Rodimus Convoy

We've never seen the toys in person before, only in a few catelogue pics. Having scowered the web there is very little on them, so we thought it was about time to change that.

What do you think? After looking at the images on the boxes the toys are somewhat bland :)

They're a nice piece of history, and they'd have probably been decent sellers in Japan, considering the market there for vinyl figures in this vein.

They do seem a little disappointing but then they are nearly 20 years old now.

I would love to have a Transformable Arcee. I have always wanted one and would go as far as to buy the one at BotCon a few years back. What a wonderful TF that would be.

Love the Arcee, and always liked the Galvatron, but Rodimus proportions looks weird...

Roddy's legs are a bit long, but other than that he looks pretty good. He'd look great on my shelf. :D

Not bad. Rodimus needs a few more paint apps and he'd look better.

Ah, Studio OX character designs. So awesome. Shame they don't transform. But I knew what I was in for after looking at these in Generations Dx.
