Black Adam could use some hair. Captain Marvel already has Dr. Sivana to fight. You don't want to make it look like he's prejudiced against the follicly challenged.

Yeah cause the cosplayer isn't paying himself to make the suit. Just the materials. Each costs a million dollars, that's a couple grand worth of materials, a couple grand more in machine time, and 0.9 million in labour.

This movie just looks better and better. I actually liked that more than the Far From Home trailer. Also, I love the beer scene already because I could just see so many people I know doing that when we were growing up.

I'm cautiously optimistic this will be a fun movie. I have no expectations it will be any good.

I do. It's almost beat for beat the Geoff Johns story, which was a perfect "feature length" origin.

My second favorite bit from the new commercial.

My Favorite bit from the commercial. I wasn't sure whether or not they were going to let him fly.

A heavily Geoff Johns influenced story with a lot of humor sprinkled in. What movie am I describing? Shazam? No. Green Lantern.

We all hope this will be great, but there is still the possibility of abject failure.

To be fair. Everyone thought GL looked terrible from the start.

Half of what made everyone think Green Lantern looked like crap from the start were the poor sfx in the trailers, which to be fair, are not what end up deciding if a movie is good or bad. The other half of what made it look bad was the uncomfortably forced humor, which the Shazam trailers also have. Not nearly as bad, but some things like CM buying beer are a little groan-worthy.

We won't know until the movie comes out whether the humor lands or falls flat like Green Lantern's.

I will forever be mad at that movie for pissing down the train three amazing casting choices for the other Lanterns. I could not conceive of a better actor to play Sinestro than Mark Strong, likewise Michael Clarke Duncan as Kilowog. And hey, Geoffrey Rush was good as Tomar Re. Or least the nine seconds he was allowed to play him.
