Updated. More paint apps, less clear plastic. Let me know what you think.

Started as a "regular" Metalhawk (before Botcon's version, honest) and I just started to dig the muted color scheme. I think Cliffjumper's face is pretty human looking without being too too human...

    Here's my first version:

With that head, the muted colors, and with the pop of the red eyes and missiles in the palette you have really improved this figure.

    Really nice job.

    Very nice!

Any tips on how you seperated the lower leg pieces? Am trying some parts swapping myself much like you, but am stumped with the glued legs... :D

Thanks everyone. It was a fun, quick re-paint. Looking at the photos now, I think I need to add some more paint apps.

Thanks, I was thinking about this too, but didn't quite have the right blue to do it justice.

Yes. Gently separate them with a knife. The glued part is towards the bottom, so once you remove all three screws, start at the top and carefully work the two pieces apart. The white part on the photo is glue.

Having done it four times now, I assure you it works, just take your time.

Very nice work! Any reason you did not panel line the plane parts? I was just wondering if that would throw off the look you were going for.

Thanks Zildjian, that means a lot. About the panel lining, now that I see the photos, I think panel lining would be an improvement. I guess this just slipped back into a WIP.
