Before this year I liked most of the figures. This year the Shattered Glass Decos mostly left something to be desired.

I voted "Don't like it" with a caveat. I don't like the concept, it's been done over and again (especially in the Star Trek Universe) and I personally don't see a need for it in Transformers. That being said, I still think there's been some really great recolors out of the Shattered Glass figures released by the Club, with my favorite being SG Tracks (Road Rage).

Don't like how it's going currently. first set was cool. then it just kept going and invaded last year's Animated offering, taking away two slots from possible Animated toys. That kind of made me get annoyed with it.

    This year's offering was terrible.

I think it's time to hang G1 SG up. If they want to do it again, do Animated, since it was actually going to be in season 4.

I love the idea but hate the price and that they are exclusives. I wish they were normal releases so we could all enjoy them.

I like Shattered Glass. Mirror universe stuff (while not exactly original) is still fun. I'm a Trekkie too, so I enjoy the allusion. And a lot of the decos look quite nice. I also appreciate how obscure and roundabout some of the homages are. And with the re-purposed additions to SG, it's a nice way to find a home for some of those strange oddball repaints we've had over the years.

The only thing I'm not a fan of is the "dual purpose" characters, like Slicer/Wheeljack, Scourge/Sweep, Lyzack/Leozack, Tracks/Road Rage, etc. I completely understand why FP goes this route, trying to ensure that the figures remain desirable even for non-SG fans (of which there are a lot). But from a pure collector OCD perspective, it's frustrating to have a character that is "either/or." Sure, you have the freedom to pick the characterization you prefer, but then that leaves a hole elsewhere in your collection unless you buy multiples. That aspect gets a little frustrating.

But otherwise, I enjoy the idea of SG. I haven't really kept up with the fiction religiously, but then I don't really read any TF fiction, so that's just in keeping with my normal habits.

I'm neutral...it is a fresh concept for TFs in a way but I've seen the alternative universe alot of other franchises to get excited by it.

I personally like it. I think some of the redecos have then pretty intriguing and have had some nice homages(looking at your action master thundercracker!). Though, I personally like the idea of alternate universe, reversed roles storylines.

I love it. But sadly there is not much media supporting it, almost everything is only this exclusive shit you don't get. I wish it was official and for the mass market and not exclusive.

So you have something against ALL Botcon toys, not just Shattered Glass toys.
