I'll admit I know very little about Shattered Glass. I know it's the standard mirror universe where good is evil and evil is good, blah blah blah. But it's given some interesting repaints of characters as well as interesting twists. So I randomly just had the thought, "Huh, I wondered what Shattered Glass version of the Beast Wars characters would look like?" But rather than sequester this away in the creative general topic I decided to post this here and ask the following. What do you think a Shattered Glass Beast Wars would be like? How would the characters be reinvented? What do you think they would look like? And basically anything else you wish to vomit via text about the concept.
SG BW Megatron will be a red Tyrannosaur who thinks and acts like James Bond. SG Optimus Primal is a deranged chess master who transforms into an albino gorilla.
Clearly Rattrap would be the Dinobot of the world and vise-versa. I guess with their names being so based on their beast modes there would be no switching that around, so that's a massive creative block right there.
I know that Cheetor will act down right bad boy,a total opposite of beast wars cheetor's kid appeal-esque regular spunky teen personality,that as he sounds like a downright greaser. Rattrap in my mind at least,should be a psycho madman,just because i like the line "Their ALL gunna' Die." with a crazy laugh. Rhinox would be just the "Bouncer Thug" of the team. Dinobot would have a Typical Mobster personality,doesnt cares about honor,and haves a likin' for Rattrap because "he's a Sick,sadistic,Down right despicable maniac!" Silverbolt would act like the Black Knight from Monty Python Megatron's Personality should be a homage to dark helmet from space balls,only difference he's a good guy. Waspinator will just be "the perfectionist" kind of character He always wins,he never blows up,he sounds down right cool and offcourse "Why does the universe love the Waspinator?,Must be a blessin'!" yeah he might still be talking in third person,but he refers it as "The Waspinator" heck he should end up possessing Shattered Glass Starscream. Rampage might be just the kind of character that is rumored to be "The Ultimate weapon" but he ends up being just a Weakling Pacifist. Depthcharge basically is the Joker. Blackarachnia would just act like a nice,not so seductive cutesy gal. and is scared of bugs. so what do you think of that,guys? i wouldn't mind a response
Maximals: Optimus Primal, would be a rogue Maximal with plans to kill Megatron and win the war for the Autobots. Rhinox would be like Tarantulas. Cheetor would be falling apart after a fly hits him. Rattrap would try to take over as leader. Dinobot would be a Maximal spy working under cover as a Predacon. Shuts down Predacon networks and lets Primal steal the golden disk. Then after crashing is busted as a spy and flees. Predacons: Megatron, would be a noble Predacon commander who is call into action to go after Primal. Waspinator would be a skilled soldier. Tarantulas would be one of Megatron's most trusted soldiers and a friend. Terrorsaur would be an elite Predacon air commander. Scorponok would be Megatron's sub commander and a smart ground commander in the Predacon army. Often giving out advice oh how to breach the Maximal defense network.
They kinda already did SG Rhinox in Dark Designs. Though, hearing "RHINOX, SMAAAAAAASH!" would be fun.
I dont know off hand enough of the back story of the SG universe, but were the SG guys on earth in stasis for millions of years so on, where the third season of BW story can happen or would it have to be something totally different?
I don't know much of SG, but I think they were only out for a few days in modern times, so sadly no Primal trying infiltrate Astrotrain to assassinate Starscream.
Rattrap's catch phrase HAS to be "They're all gonna die." So kudos to who thought of that. But if he says that then he has to be the psychotic battle hungry monster described. Part of me feels Inferno should stay as he is, but know that they are in a mirror universe. The typical idiot who is wise but never listened to. AH, this should totally be asked to the voice actors at a con! Ask the voice actors what they think their SG characters would be and maybe even get a sound bite or two out of it. If I could hear Rattrap say "They're all gonna die." in a really creepy way that would be killer.
I got to thinking about it, and thought up a few: Inferno: Just as insane and loyal, has deluded himself that the best way to support Megatron is to give him practice against assassins and saboteurs by pretending to be the Starscream of the group. Primal and Megatron: Maybe give them bat and croc modes just to mix it up. Tigatron: Hard-core industrialist, only sees Earth as a pile of resources to be used. (essentially a Captain Planet villain made serious mixed with Marvel Ratbat.) Quickstrike: Normally a kind and gentle mech, but threaten his friends and allies and he becomes a quick-drawing western movie hero mixed with a white-knight. Not really sure about how to twist the Vok...
Twas' me,i tend to bring something clever in the table,im surprised you didnt noticed the other ideas i put Make the Vok Utter Idiots,but very powerful idiots. they blatter arround lots of nonsence,and create awesome things... by accident. reason being i was thinking of Tigerhawk to be a deadly threat for both teams,making the preds and maximals team up. that and i like to hear this line in voice acting form,with a Frat boy and someone who voiced those Aliens from that Invader Zim Episode "Abducted" voicing the vok SG Vok 1: "Hey!,Its a Chicken!" SG Air Razor: "I Aint' no chicken!" SG: Vok 2: "Dude,Dude... Dude! We should like we should use that mixing blender thing,i wanna see a TurkeyCat!" SG A.R: "Someone kill me..." Sg Vok 1: "Great Idea!,I like to See a Turkeycat too!" SG: IM NOT A TURKEY! SG Tigatron: Wait,I hate Recycling! *Then they just get Blended,Creating Turkeyca- I mean SG Tigerhawk."
