The Bible Black reference will not stop making me laugh every time I see it.

I must, say I enjoy this theory a lot it definitely ties into the whole theme of facing reality no matter what realm your in.

I don't really see that working to be honest and that would rob the show of much of its originality.
What is really great about the show is that Akane created all these characters: Rikka, Utsumi, Yuta and the others in order to create a perfect world filled with people who behave according to their programming.
But in the end these people became sentient and were the ones who saved Akane from loneliness.
Rikka being the real Akane would make their entire relationship in the fabricated world meaningless.
But in the end there is so much unexplained that you could make any theory work.
Anyone can make their version of Akane's world so to speak :lol

Did he die in shattered glass?
Oh, you mean in Prime and the Knightverse.
He didn't die here I think.
Gridman's consciousness was superimposed on Yuta's and after he went back to his own dimension Yuta regained consciousness I think.

I was about to say that this is dumb idea...

...but then I saw that this is an animu so I guess it fits? *shrugs*

I'm kinda out of the loop with all those Chinese pornographic cartoons these days.

Lol, that's hardly diegetic. As significant as Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura being voiced by Sakura Tange.

Heard it wrapped up, so binged all of it in pretty much one go. What an absolutely amazing show. Definitely one of my favorites of this year, hell, in a while too.

And hey Takara: Pleeeaaase let these guys do a TF anime!

Thank you SO much for that link! It was great hearing someone talk about this show in-depth, and he brought up a LOT of great thoughts that never occurred to me before! Also has a REALLY relaxing voice...I'm gonna check into more of his stuff now. : )

In the land of a crap ton of light novel anime adaptations which literally spell everything out for you, I'm glad Gridman came out where it gives you just enough information to get by and you need to pay attention to the little details going on in the background to form a solid conclusion. Gridman on the surface might seem like a simple monster of the week show, but it's got some intrigue to it to keep my adult self fascinated and enough gattai action to keep my inner child happy. :)

    Oh my God!
The things I saw when looking for a fitting picture to accompany my "one of us" comment :lol
People enjoy these cartoons in lots of different and very special ways
Hey, I don't really understand, but if people need this theory to be enjoy the story that's fine.
After all, it's a true case of "a rose by any other name..." I guess. The story doesn't change because people want Akane to be Rikka or Yuta or Alexis or whatever.
I've never been one to search for stories hidden in the story or calculate the letters of the main character's name to come at the adres of the director and such.
But I understand if people want to mull over a story once it's done. We do a fair share of that in Transformers after all, even if I don't understand the appeal in half of those cases either.

When was the last time you saw the director of the anime hold a body pillow of the main hero?

So... I just realized that most of the Shattered Glass figures are all horrendously expensive Botcon exclusives from like a decade ago. Am I screwed in trying to recreate the Gridman cast in TF figure form?

Yes. As Megatron, Prime, and Hot Rod command high prices.

Considering that you didn’t realize that till just now, yes. Not only are they expensive, they are impossible to find. Your best bet is the Shattered Glass MP Optimus, which has sold so horribly it goes for around $100 despite including it’s trailer, and POTP Rodimus Unicronus. You can also find TFCC’s SG Starscream from the Unite Warriors mold for around $150, sometimes.

Me personally? I just plan to make my own from the upcoming Siege figures at some point, as well as pick up a Classics Cliffjumper, who also tends to get a little pricey around $40-50.

Cliffjumper’s probably the easiest to get.

And as people have said, the MP SG OP is probably your cheapest bet for getting the character.
