ooo this is good
I came here for lulz... but found a gem of an intrigue unfolding. It's been a dog's age. Welcome back!
This has some very deep thought and detail placed into it. The dialogue and personalities are already strong. And the sparkwell...what a great opening device! Cannot wait to see how it all ties together. I will be watching closely.
Another action packed issue! Cool to see Skywarp as a part of Shockwave's/Motormaster's crew, and for the teamup between Breakdown and Nightbeat. I wasn't expecting Scourge/a lone Sweep to be responsible for all that firepower, but I am always glad to see a G1-based Scourge.
Autobots and Decepticons working together has always been a huge interest of mine. Not to give too much away, but it's a pretty big part of this comic. Just maybe not the way you might think.
I like IDW's series a lot, and it's a greatinspiration for a lot of what's going on here.
But not everything traces back to the comics.
Like animation errors, or Soundwave's minions...
So that's what Kup was talking about when he mentioned the Petrol Rabbits.
Nova Prime, Unicron, the Fallen, who knows? Maybe we'll find out next chapter?
Borked but not plotzed!
Why thank you!
I tell you what, it's good to be back.
Stories need to be strong from the start, and for characters to be memorable, the same must be said for them. I've always enjoyed writing dialogue--always been something of a script writer when it comes to stories--and comics really let me get down to brass tacks for the sheer amount of character interaction required.
The Well of All Sparks scene was heavilly inspired by a conversation I've been having with a friend. He's just getting into Transformers (through Prime) and he's been wondering just how these thing reproduce. It got me to thinking as well, and pretty soon I had a neat little additon that tied my story together.
Believe you me, it's all coming together into something awesome. I hope you enjoy it going forward!
G1 Scourge gets a lot of unnecessary flack for not being RID Scourge or Cybertron Scourge--both of who are great characters in their own right. I've just not seen much of Scourge where he wasn't dominated by Cyclonus and Galvatron.
I mean, no spoilers, but it's something I want to avoid. I want him to be just as cool as those other guys, if I can help it.
Looks like the Stunticons will be out of commission for a while. Kinda surprised to see Scourge and Cyclonus being so helpful.
Also, a suggestion? Try to make sure the pictures of the jets are in-focus before you layer them into a shot. The shots of Skywarp in jet mode are kinda blurry compared to the rest of your pictures.
Your effects are outstanding! I think I've said that before, but still...
Planet Cracker, eh? Guess that's how 'ol Galvy was able to slag an entire planet in the G1 cartoon. What did he ever need Chaos crystals for if he already had that power?
Well that was an unexpected turn of events.
Also, would it be weird to say my favorite thing about the update is Scourge's face in the two panels? Like with your effects, I don't really know how to describe it, he has a very 'old master' kind of vibe to him, like he's someone who's powerful, knows it, but is only there to make sure they escape, and because it's him they WILL escape.
Yeah something's very wrong with me when I'm overanalyzing what are basically two close ups of the Titans Return Scourge figure's face. It makes me regret passing on it now, so I hope you're happy with that.
Stunticons in over their heads...
Cyclonus and Scourge are helping Windblade and Nightbeat? Interesting... Man, I hope the Stunticons don't die before we get Menasor in this comic. Cyclonus and Scourge are ripping them a new one! Also, Galvatron can obliterate planets? Oh boy...
Oh wow, now that's something I didn't see coming. I wonder what Galvatron's MO is, and why he's chosen to help Nightbeat and Windblade?
Also, loving the name 'Planet-Cracker' for Galvatron's cannon
here's hoping SoL Galvy doesn't get sent to sharkticomics, also Shadow Prime, if you see this, know that i can obliterate you instantly, but out of respect for Sharktibolt and the fact that the matrix can cleanse you and your matrix of the dark influence of Unicron's blood i won't, unless you do something extremely stupid, so in otherwords, FUCKING USE THE MATRIX ON HIM SHARKTIMUS
There's a strange thing going on with my pics this time around. All the close-ups are real crisp and clean, while the wider shots range from fuzzy to impossibly slaggy. I'm still experimenting with my new camera, you see, so there's a learning process to it.
At least this time, I tried to make the fuzzier pics more effects-heavy. So they're still visually impressive on some level!
Thank you! I aim to be one of the more pretty comics on the site, and if I hit the mark occasionally...
In his defense, I doubt Charr could really be considered an actual planet. It's the Pluto of the Transformers universe.
Scourge is still pretty affordable on Amazon or stuff like that. And it's a great figure. Looks really great, has a fun transformation, and is actually a flying bath-tub in his alt-mode. I also love the Titans for their little cockpits for the headmasters, and his is one of the best.
Generations Scourge looks neat and all, but I still skipped him. When I saw Titans Scourge, though, I knew it was fated to be.
By the way, Over-analyzing makes for the best comments.
So, of course, they dig themselves deeper.
The stunticons are not on the chopping block, so be ye not concerned. Though, I will make no promises on Menasor appearing. I mean, why would I want a super-awesome combining robot to appear in my science-fiction comic? That's just silly.
It's a mystery to everyone!
The planet-cracker makes me giggle every time I think about it. It's like having a howitzer attached to your upper arm. Overkill in all the right ways.
I've seen crossovers in comics, I've seen commentators remark on multiple comics in the same post, but I've never seen a comic crossover in the commentator's comment. This is a new one for me.
huh, honestly, this version of Galvy seems pretty OK
This is really interesting I'll definitely keep on it!
I like these enigmatic versions of Galvatron, Cyclonus, and Scourge you have. I wonder if this is some reincarnation of Megatron and two subordinates trying to redeem themselves.
