What are your thoughts on how to release this kit?

  1. Get Shapeways done by Spring. Painting req'd, but it will be quickly available for all 5 FOC molds

  2. Take up to 1 year to design & release via 3rd party. I can WAIT so I don't have to PAINT.

  3. Do both Shapeways (release soon) and 3rd party. (KO's will likely happen but I want the original)

  4. I just want SOMETHING to fix my Bruticus--a low-priced knockoff is all I need

That looks pretty sweet! :thumb  Are you thinking of doing a G2 version of the set to go with the G2 FOC Bruticus?

I added a picture of how Blastoff's arm works on the first page. Can you have a look? Is this what you meant? If not, can you show me a picture somehow? :)

I found the Peaugh video--aren't I using the same transformation as he is? If not, can you point me in the correct direction? Thanks. :)

I'd love to have a production build of this kit...if anybody has contacts to pass along to me it would be appreciated.

Interested! Again, a link would really help. :)

Well this is Shapeways, so it arrives polished white unpainted. It's a 'garage kit' in that sense...I don't produce them, I do the design, they make the parts. It's a great setup for schlubs like me who have day jobs. :)

So yes, it WILL work for G2 provided you don't mind painting! (Also added this info to homepage as many are asking)

^^ Fantastic, Maximus Primal...thanks a bunch. Looking thru them, I'm pretty sure the parts I designed will support those transformations...I'll know better when the parts arrive and I can test those modes as well as the simpler modes.

    Really appreciate the link.

Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback and support!!!

As a personal preferece I wouldnt put on the Brawl gun piece. I totally see what youre trying to accomplish but looks kinda weird with both sets of guns there haha. this is probably going to be my first painting project...

Count me in as someone excited about this set. Although I think I will be less excited when I see the price. Looks like some great work you are doing here.

Actually, I like how he did the gun piece on there, although, I would've covered the old gun somehow? Maybe you can do this on the actual release of the kit, Echo?

Echo, this upgrade kit is nothing short of awesome, but why not make a wedged peg or something to put on Onslaught in vehicle mode? As is, it looks like he's shooting the immediate ground in front of him--not your fault by any means, another one of his many issues. I think a wedged shape peg or something would really help him look as though he's shooting straight instead of down;)

^^ yeah, it's so odd. Would be an easy part to make around the same time I create Trailer 2.0 and really start to sort out the alt mode.

    @ Daimchoc: thanks!!!

@ Mirage: yeah, not sure how the 2 guns will look and they may change

    @ Megatrons Cannon Lolzzz

Great job man. Throwing a couple of ideas here:

I just noticed on the 2nd set of cannons on brawl. Dont take it negative (positive critic), but i dont like him to have 2 sets. I'd suggest you create a feet for brawl without putting down the cannons as foot instead. That would keep height, and solve the hole left by not putting down the cannon.
Another suggestion would be to check the game design 360 on the FOC webpage under characters. There you will notice that the waist plate you have could also be matched more accurately in design. I have seen he has several "blades" in the waist area and the plate just go in the front of them.
With all the improvement you have done, and the ideas that come to my mind I'd also suggest to get rid of onslaught's weapon and do him a couple of shoulder cannons that do him better justice, particularly for gestalt mode, i just think the ones we got, look skinny.
Last idea, i'd love to have some joint ball articulation for the hands, which apparently is not there. Maybe you can "borrow" the design that fakebuster uses in shapeways. Take a look at the way he assembles his hand designs. That would greatly improve hand posability and allow meaner expressions!!!

I LOVE what you did to the shoulders. Thinking about "borrowing" your idea for my mod. I have not arrived to the shoulders yet!!!

Bottom line is I bought 2 sets myself, one for customizing (WIP) and the other one to keep MISB until someone would do something like this. Once you go to production I think you will give me a good reason to open the second set!!

I hope you dont feel offended, im just throwing some ideas. I thought myself on doing something like that, but i dont have enough free time (2 month old kid at home) to learn 3d design on shapeways. So im doing my custom hand made.

    H.C.
