Duann from Shapeways recently got in touch with me to express his interest and appreciation in the work we've been doing on TFW2005. Apparently our activities have not gone unnoticed!

You can view his blog post at Shapeways here, with a little bit of free advertising for everyone: Shapeways | blog: 3D Printed Transforming Robots Are Go!

If you have and questions about Shapeways, you can reach him at shapeways.com, although he's quicker on Twitter, both through Duanns and Shapeways

Process, the link leading to your site on the Shapeways page is giving me the 404. You might want to contact them to fix it.

    F*** YES! I made the list! W00t!

Anyways, I'll get more pics up on my products, as requested by Shapeways. My Gun-former Petal, and partner Calyx have been going unnoticed for too long.

    Oh, I see it. Thanks!

    That's a pretty hilarious 404 page, though.

How "finished" do these look right out of the box? Like if I ordered one of the awesome guns or blades you guys have designed in say black or red and don't care if the details are painted, are they good go right into the hands of a figure? I'm really interested in a couple of things, but I don't want to have to sand/polish/etc. because I'm sure at the end of the day someone would have lost an eye if I'm doing the work. :p

I've wondered what kind of impact we have as this is a fairly niche area. Interesing

Depends on how closely you look, or how fussy you are. I've had the Lockdown upgrade kit attached to my Lockdown unfinished for about 6 months, I PLAN on doing the finish work eventually, but even printed in white with the so called 'grainy' texture of WhiteStrongFlexible he looks fine, especially from any reasonable distance.

The WhiteStrongFlesxiblePolished should look that much better out of the gate, and hopefully we'll get colored-polished materials soon...

I'd agree about WSF. Looks a tad grainy but all in all it's not so bad. For the detailed plastics I would stick with White or Transparent. The Black Detailed has a white frost residue on it. It's just easier to dye the white or transparent the color that you want.

I still have to print some stuff in WSF-Polished to see the results. I'm hopeful. :)
