All I can say, after all these long years, is this: good to have you back on the robosaddle again, Mr. Anderson.
The ephemeral nature of image hosting websites irritates me. Clearly they should host my images forever, if not longer. I need to dig up my old files and repost the vanished comics. Let's see how tinypic works out.
.... ............ ..................................... I can't believe that I just witnessed Shane's Comics be updated again after all these years... I remember when I was a wee lad, reading this comic 10 YEARS AGO. Welcome back. And I see Thunderwing is a stereotypical Geewunner. It's simultaneously funny and aggravating.
With the average dignity of one. Fitting, ya bein' a long-time author ya continue this once again with an old geezer rant Nice seein' ya back at it
I think I'll jump on right now. Hopefully there's not an abundance of comics I need to know ahead of time before reading, since they seem to be absent. ...Okay, Thunderwing's a geewunner? Nice.
Yeah, I went looking for my old comic files last night and found them, so I may try to repost them. I used to use Imageshack as a hosting service, but for whatever reason anything I hosted there is gone, so I'm trying a different site. There's nothing crucial about the old comics, other than being familiar with some running gags and character traits I had developed over time. Megabolt is obsessed with chips, as my avatar should make clear, but he has other obsessions as we'll see soon....
Crotchety, obstreperous, old Thunderwing? And he's a geewunner? Good to see this comic back, I remember reading it way back when I just lurked. You're a legend 'round these parts.
In terms of image hosting sites, I'd recommend Imgur or Postimg. Both of those are pretty stable and widely used by TFW users. It'd be great if you could repost all the old files, I'd love to read through them again for nostalgia's sake. And it'll definitely be great to see Megabolt again.
I share your pain with the image host, my thread has been a mess of broken images for years. I'm currently using Google Plus to host, it's working well thus far. And Thunderwing, pretty sure you're forgetting Arcee.
Here's a dramatic one-pager I did a few years ago for a project similar to the Mosaics, except I think this was just TFW2005 members and photocomics. I enjoyed putting Vector Prime and the Fallen together in the distant and hazy past.
I thought I had found all my comics, but it's only a portion. #483 - #502 have been reposted, using Imgur (thanks for the recommendation!). I'll add the others when I locate them. I was reposting these, and I had forgotten half of them. Now I want to know where the story was going to go! 483 is on this page: Shane's comics
