So this game is going to come out next week. It's an XBL arcade game about a guy who gets his girl friend snatched by a faction that wants to overrule the American government, and in their arsenal are giant robots. Wild huh?

Me and Cagliastro have had our sights on this game for while and it looks really well for a arcade game. The game is played very similar to Metroid and even mooched at least one of the powerups from it, what that one that gives your super speed in Super Metroid. Despite that its got own's neat gagets such as the foam gun where you just launch a foam that hardens for you to take bridges. Another bonus of this foam is that it is explosive, cover a guy with the foam, lob a grenade into it and mucho-explosions happens.

The game should cost around $15. I forget the amount, sorry.

Heres a 7 minute walkthrough with one of the designers.

    No. Nobody said that.

This game looks really good. And the achievements are pretty lulzy, if I heard correctly. There's an achievement for completeing the game with only 4 percent of the game's weapons or areas discovered or something like that.

I love side scrolling shooters. And there won't be lawsuits. Side-scrolling shooters have always copied each others design. Rolling Thunder - Shinobi - Code Name Viper. Etc.

Looks pretty cool. It's exclusive to XBL?

    So far it's XBL only.

Also to add some more trivia to this game. This is suppose to be based on Orson Scott Card's (the writer of Enders Game and Ultimate Ironman) book Empire.

Thats the part where I feel a little weirded out about. I've read the book and I thought the bad guys at the end of the story got shut down for good. I'll have to play the game to see at how things come together.

    Tommoriw, tommorow, tommorow!

Thats when it comes out. I'm don't think I was this psyched for an XBLA game before, that includes Castle Crashers.

I'm looking forward to this one too. I've heard nothing but good about it.

For those interested IGN already gave it a glowing review.

    http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/101/1014215p1.html

The reviewer mentions it's about 6 hours to play through, but I'll be doing it more than once. Besides I'm not the speed run type anyway. I want to soak this one up the first time through.

I downloaded it and feel its easily one of the best live arcade games ever made. The audio. visuals, innovation and gameplay just feel natural and while can easily be picked up you know its gonna have some great challenging bosses.

Its a very large game so it took a while to download but i dont regret my purchase in the slightest. There are games out there that cost twice as much and offer hardly anything as good as this. The level design is something really special and very well thought out, it gets 10/10 from me. Its that good. :D

bought the other day. Played up till I've got the jump pack and fought the boss where you need to fill the chamber with water.

This game is awesome! I will play several times just to explore. 10/10 easily. This has the look and feel of a $40-50 game. It is definitely worth the money. I think if I buy Turtles I get $10 of points credit from XBox for buying all the summer titles. Have to check that out. If I do, then it is worth it because it will be like getting it free.

I queued it for download last night then did some Splosion Man while it was downloading.
Splosion Man wouldn't let me go, but I'm definitely going to give this a run tonight.

This looks fucking insane! This is a must buy. Need to make room between Batman and TF DLC for this.

edit: Damn, I may need to buy this today. Dagger, curse you! So is it 15$?

edit two: Electric Boogaloo: I like how it's about a guy looking for his girlfriend instead of the usual "Give me a Fucking GUN" type character. Nate's influence is a good one to have.
