I ordered mine from BBTS, which isn't Asian based, sorry. But they have "Mid December 2008" listed for it. Hope that helps.

 

Is this worth getting?! I've looked into it somewhat but unsure if I should get it.

 

I got my City Commander set earlier this week and was going to open it, but haven't had the chance yet. I actually just opened up Ultra Magnus from the UM/Skywarp Classics 2 Pack during my lunch break. I intend to bust out the CC set tonight. I can't say first hand if it's worth it or not, but I have already ordered Shadow Commander without having opened CC yet.

The reason I would go ahead and tell you it IS worth it is simply due to all the testimony from people here and at other TF sites. Everyone is VERY positive about the CC set and says that it is terrific. There are complaints, of course, but they are all relatively minor compared to the rave reviews.

I'd say yes, definitely get it. How often to "3rd party peripherals" (borrowing a term from my gaming hobby) get made that are of such high quality?

 

i personally dont find the shadow commander set that interesting, although it LOOKS cool. its just that..nemesis prime is an optimus prime clone.. so its accurate that he's exactly the same as classics prime, but in different colors... UM, on the other hand, was a totally different character, and had to look much different..and THAT, was solved beautifully by the CC set... although, i might end up getting the shadow commander set too, its not something i want as much as the CC set... didnt preorder it, but might look to pick it up later

 

Found the new head and sword and mold fixes interesting so pre-ordered one. Quite eagerly waiting for it now. Just hope the quality is better than the 1st one, hopefully something unfortunate doesn't happen to my Shadow like my City Commander

I originally thought this, too. But, after the announcement that they were re-doing the face with a face-plate, I was sold. To me, he's reminiscent of RID Scourge; becoming more than a simple UM repaint.

 

I think this set is already shipping at least in Asia. I found a whole bunch for sale already at Taobao, but I could be wrong and they could be preorder pages.

 

I pre-ordered the Shadow Commander at BBTS too, but I've yet to see the mold so I can't say if it's awesome or super awesome   I've bought the City Commander set at BBTS too, but for now he's sitting in my pile of loot waiting for some friend to ship together! And the way it's going, it looks like I'll have City and Shadow shipping together, would be a nice box to open for sure

I actually like the idea of a dark counterpart to Ultra Magnus. I'll be leaving the original head/face on mine.

 

I'll get him because I can't find Classics Ultra Magnus in my local toys'r'us,but Nemesis Prime's there.

When I was trying to move the head for poses for the photo shoot, I dunno what happened to the ball joint but it err broke. So it popped off the 2nd day I got him. I dunno if it's my fault, I really didn't put any much force into the head, but of course I did move it around abit for poses sake, wonder how that broke the joint. Anyway after inspection of the head joint, can see the joint is made of cheap plastic. But the rest is good and I still love it
