I wonder if the "nothing wrong with this" crowd would feel the same way if it was a major retailer? Say, for instance, that TRU released about half their allotted stock of Roddy MPs then waited a month to see where secondary prices were and then put the rest of their stock up at the new "market" price? Can you imagine if this was the business model for all collectibles? It's a dick move. It deserves scorn.
