Well, technically it's not a "scan" because my scanner's busted. But, here are some pics of the mini-comic that came with the SGCollect Drift figure (as well as a kick-ass Fortress Maximus pic that was on the back of the comic).

I'm sorry, but that is really awful.

How much more stock and cliche can it be?

I saw this without dialogue and it was a lot better.

Personally, I was more interested in the Fort Max pic. Does anybody know if it's a reprint image from some Transformers Manga or something, or original work?

I take it that Fort Max stepped on Drift in the last panel?

The story is pretty dumb though.

    *YAWN*
Boring, the last image of Fort Max and the Hebrew letter in the first two panels are the only two good things in this comics.

AFAIK, that SGCollect Fortress Maximus picture has been in usage since as early as 2003 in posters advertising the SGCollect forum around hobby stores all around here at Singapore. And you thought they would put in more effort in an exclusive.

    Heh, well I liked it.
Yeah, the one liners were campy and a lot of it was cliche, but I get the feeling if it were purely original G1 characters, you'd see more fans going "zomg that's so awesome!"

Art style kind of reminded me of the old Marvel TF comics.

I got the same feeling about the style. Seems like a homage to the original comics. For a fan made item, the comic is alright.

Yeah, the panel where Marauder just explained what happened to Drift but put it in the form of questions totally reminded me of the 80s comics.

Like when Grimlock froze because of the nucleon and the others around him somehow phrased questions that were exactly what happened to him.
