First off, credit for the concept goes to Peaugh: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/597020-g2-shattered-glass-megatron.html

This is my first repaint. I've always had an interest in Shattered Glass Megatron, and I found Peaugh's version immediately compelling -- simple and effective. It's a good mold with striking features, less rigid than the Botcon version, and not so complicated that I needed to worry about paint rub. Because both Megatrons share a similar deco, most of the work was done for me, and I only needed to mask a few parts and add some highlights.

I spent a lot of time taking cues from the Botcon version: black to break up the grey, yellow detailing on the torso, and blue tone exclusive to the armament. The trickiest part was to clearly differentiate him from an evil Megatron without going overboard on brighter colors, but I think I was mostly successful. A proper reprolabel should help.

    Now with new photos!

that's cool, but a red decepticon logo on the chest would be the perfect touch

Absolutely awesome work. This seriously looks like a factory job. Peaugh's made me seriously consider customizing my extra WFC Megs, and I think yours just convinced me to do it.

I imagine FunPub *would* release this if they find a storyline that shows the SG version of the War For Cybertron. Darn sure folks would buy it quick too... it's a damn nice repaint. Don't care for SG much, and I'd still be tempted. LOL

Normally, I despise Shattered Glass for the unoriginal plot, and shameless money grabbing (the redecoes.) But I really like this! If I can say one good thing about Shattered Glass, it's that Megatron looks awesome. That is, this Megatron, the other one sucks.
