And don't forget the guy below him who apparently wants almost $26 grand. All that and they still want $3.99 for shipping.

If it weren't two of them, I'd say that's got to be an error. Amazing. Are the original issues even going for much over $10 each?

LOL, I just want to email the guy the scans I have of this TPB.

That's kinda ridiculous, my local comic store, who has the first, and original Marvel Transformers, charges only $30 for the first issue.

I figure he can sell them for me. If the TPB is worth $25 grand, then he should at least be able to get me $10,000 for the digital copy. Hell, I'll even take $5,000.

    I'd even take $5.

shit, I'd even give it away

What takes the cake is that apparently they're selling the IDW reprint. Think of how much the Dreamwave one is "worth!" :lolol

Maybe they're foreign and made a mistake currency converting?

Don't know about tscbooks, but gohastings is located in the USA. Texas, to be exact. It's the Amazon arm of a chain of stores called Hastings, where used books, DVDs and CDs are sold. I've never seen anything this outrageous there, though.

So, no it's not a international exchange rate mistake.

As for TSCBooks, I read somewhere else about them (can't remember where) that sometimes their database automatically jacks up the price of the book when it thinks the ISBN has been corrupted. (It's essentially to prevent people from buying it.) I don't know why they don't just take down the listing.

Crap, and I just gave all 8 issues to someone who needed them for free. Well, it ended up as a good trade. But still, 26 geezees is some serious cheddar.

You should stop charging 26 grand for them then. It's a recession, you know.

Certain Transformers comics, for whatever reason, end up with absurd asking prices on Amazon and other marketplace sites like half.com. I think what happens is one person lists it at that price, and then other people use that as a basis to price, and then everyone thinks that's the going rate, even though no one has ever actually paid it.

I've recently discovered a loophole for those of us looking to unload old comics and trades though. First I tried listing them in Junkion for what I felt were fair prices so real fans could get a crack at them. For example, I was asking 5 bucks for the War Within Vol. 2 trade. Nobody bit. On Amazon the cheapest price for that particular TPB was asking $75. I listed mine for $20 and it sold within a couple of days. To a book store. Who relisted it at $75. :lol  I've actually successfully done this 2 or 3 times now. All you have to do is sharply undercut the unrealistic going rate, and resellers with more money than sense will try to profit off of your ignorance when in reality the opposite is happening.

    Hah.

I found the first issue of the Finnish Marvel series from a paper recycling bin.

Unfortunately, the first Finnish issue is the movie adaptation...
