What does it mean if a girl hasnt had her period when she's supposed to?
If it's not pregnancy then what could it be.

I'm a little concerned, like if it continues or whatever.Would it be dangerous?

Menopause, stress, or probably a bajillion other things. A doctor's visit would be the best thing to do.

Yeah plenty of women don't menstruate regularly. Stress, way underweight, way overweight, whatever it's generally a result of various medical problems.

Could even be sports or working out can seriously throw off a gal's cycle.

I'm also guessing that she's not on birth control, because that'd be a horribly obvious answer........

Before I offer my opinion, I'd first like to know the following:

    (a) how long the amenorrhea has been going on
    (b) if this is the first time it's happened
    (c) whether Ms. X has any pre-existing medical conditions
    (d) whether she is on any forms of drugs (this includes birth control, recreational drugs, psychotropic medication, etc)
    (e) if she is sexually active
    (f) whether she has been subject to stress as of late, or has otherwise been straining herself (excessive exercise, overwork, etc)
    (g) whether she is displaying any other symptoms besides the amenorrhea (pain in any area, weight loss/gain, disturbed sleep, headaches, etc)
    (h) how well she has been nourishing herself

Forget about that go see a doctor crap. Making a thread about it was the best thing you could ever do.

TFW2005, a Transformers fan site, is well-reknowned for its in-house gynecologists and medical practicionners.

I also moonlight as the Surgeon General.

Not to freak you out, but the most common reason for a reproductive age woman missing her period is because she's preggers.

Pregnancy was my first thought but honestly get her to a doctor, and get her checked so you can positively know what is the matter and deal with it appropriately

Sometimes, if you're not preggers, your periods can be irregular because of a hormonal issue. Most women (once you hit puberty and go through periods for a few years) will develop a regular cycle and will know when things start acting up. One possibility is PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). If you're ridiculously underweight/malnourished you can miss periods. If you're incredibly stressed (never really seen this happen, but it's possible) you can miss them, too. But if someone's not sexually active or have no reason to believe you're preggers, visit a gynecologist. They can figure out what's wrong and get you regular again.

I'd also suggest oral contraceptives - they do wonders regulating your cycle! Knowing when Aunt Flo is visiting FTW.

EDIT: Is she late all the time? Sometimes they just are a couple days late once in a while. Nothing to stress about, though. If she's completely missing them, or having 2 a month.. I'd look into going to a Gyno. It shouldn't hurt her missing them, but it's always good to have a professional check it out and make sure there are no underlying, more serious problems causing it.
