Sentinel vs Shockwave

As in which shouldn't have died? Shockwave.

 

I need conditions for this battle. A battlefield, if they had time to prepare for the fight, e.t.c

 

What are they? In a fight? Whose the better charecter? Who would have been the better main antagonist? or Better Design?

 

If it's a fight we're talking about, I voted for Shocky because Sentinel Prime was half-dead for centuries, while Shockwave has been fighting since the war on Cybertron, and is a huge, bulky purple bad-ass.

 

I voted for Sentinel because he's a freakin Prime!

 

Well, obviously Sentinel Prime went to see DotM in 3D more times than Shockwave! Duh. Shocky's only got one eye! No depth perception.

...Oh, what? What do you mean those weren't the conditions for this ambiguous "Sentinel vs. Shockwave"-thread?  

Or was this a game of chess? No? Race to become a Prime? No? Slap-bet? What about a battle between them? Was this about a battle? I bet it was about a battle.

 

Shocky died in a punch.
Sentinel took even more than all the autobots could handle.

 

I'm not voting till I know what this vote is about. Who was tougher? who should have survived? Who do you think should have been the main villain? What is this thread?

If you're going to compare two things, make it an accurate comparison. Underselling one does not make for good comparison.

 

Shockwave could have blown Sentinel Prime away. The fact that he has the largest cannon of any Transformer thus far in the film answers this question. In the novel adaption, he would have blown Optimus away in Ukraine if Optimus hadn't used his shield to protect himself and the human soldiers.

 

Plus Shockwave had that giant worm thing, so yeah my money's on Shockwave if they were in a fight.

But I still don't know what the thread's entirely about. Is it which one's a better bad guy or what? I'm still a bit confused.

My vote goes to Sentinel.

 

I don't know guys, Sentinel put a raged Optimus Prime through one hell of a fight, and would have killed him had Megatron not come along. Shockwave may have that giant cannon, but all he manages to do with it is incapacitate Optimus with it for a little while. Sentinel seems like a more skilled warrior. He'd have a hard time time killing Shockwave, but I believe Sentinel would pull it off.

Also, biggest gun in the movie-verse?

Megatron's fusion cannon from TF1 > Shockwave's arm cannon

 

Sentinel appears to be remarkably agile [even more than Optimus, which is ironic since Sentinel is much older than Optimus himself], he probably can dodge Shockwave's blast, also be noticed that he has a shield himself [said shield blocked a RPG with ease].

 

Sentinel Prime contributed more to the movie than Shockwave did.

 

I'm lost, too. I voted Shockwave because Shockwave is awesome.
