There, I said it.
I liked his character. He makes some good points
I can't even like Leonard Nimoy anymore.
I liked him, his character has depth.
All I know is that I was compelled to watch Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan again... (my favorite ST movie)
Voyager Sentinel will stand on a shelf with Voyager Megatron, Voyager Shockwave, Deluxe Soundwave, Deluxe Starscream, Deluxe Thundercracker, and Deluxe Skywarp.
I too liked Sentinel not for the character but his role in the story. It really came out well.
His little beard thing annoyed me though when it swayed around and stuff
Besides, he was badass, awesome, had depth, had a point, and most importantly: had Nimoy's voice.
In short: How can you NOT love this guy?
I wanted to burn down the world when I saw it the first time, but the second time I have to say it's his last role basically, and if Nimoy wants to do something a little crazy, I would say that man has earned it 1,000,000 times over.
Every time I look at Leader SP on my shelf I think: You bastard.
I really like Sentinel but I hate him at the same time. I really probably still store him with my other Autobots though.
I hate his leader figure, and I'm not fond of his character either.
He killed my favorite Autobot!
I regularly drop my leader sp from high places.
And I take he always gets up, and stabs your foot saying: "I HEREBY DISCHARGE YOU FROM DUTY!"
I, for one, am glad he refused to have the matrix of leadership. What kind of leader betrays his own kind?
I'm just glad I didn't buy the Cyberverse commander version of him, which I had been looking at.
Not only was he a betraying dick, he died a betraying dick. No redemption.
Should have his Autobot symbol slashed out.
Also makes me wonder WTF they were thinking with that WalMart "Power of the Primes" or whatever it was promotion. Makes him out to be a good guy.
I remember hearing rumors of betrayal early on, and that kept me from getting LCSP.
Even at this point, I can't fully hate him, and I can't fully like him- it's like the way I feel about most Michael Bay movies.
Though in a twist, the smaller Cyberverse SP is my first DOTM toy purchase.
Character wise, he did what he thought was best, even if it was wrong. He had good intentions, and we all know where the road paved with good intentions leads. Anyway, I know have my Sentinel Prime standing with my movie Decepticons.
Yes he is a dick for shooting Ironhide in the back, but look at it from his perspective. He's an old 'Bot, who's seen the War rage on for a long time. With no obvious end in sight, he did what he had to do in order to restore Cybertron to glory. And if a select few would stand in his way, then so be it. They must be eliminated.
Apparently, that's a feature of the Voyager version.
I don't like Sentinel plan and simple. I wil admit it was a intresting charater in the DOTM movie. But Nimoy played a mean Galvatron in the 80's movie why not a mean sentinel in this one. Thought to me Sentinel Prime in any form is right there with certain other autobots I dont' care for "cough hot rod and rodimus::: cough.
On a side note I do like Nimoy as a voice actor and as spock of course.
