When watching the look of him inside the Arc and in the NEST base where he got reawakened, he already was red painted, and the body parts plus head looked exactly the same like in the whole movie after when he transforms into the firefighter truck.
Somehow superlame like in the G1 cartoons where they look in robot mode the same on Cybertron!

Hehh. I need to re-watch again, but I think you could nominate this to the errors collection.

He didn't have any tires or vehicle-mode colors. Just because he was still red on the moon doesn't suddenly mean they used the same exact model.

yes, he was gold and silver in the Teaser, but strangely he was mostly red in the movie when he got retrieved from the Arc.
I didn't see tires, but his chest looked quite the same which was irritating me.
Also, why are other Autobots on the Arc in protoform and Sentinel Prime not???

I dunno about specific details, but I can confirm that he's a different shade of red in the two forms. Before he scans an alt-mode, Sentinel is a dark red, almost maroon or burgundy. After he has his firetruck form, he's a bright, vibrant shade of red.

Identity concealment. Keeps people from figuring out who he is too soon.

His Cybertronian body happens to be red and silver, it's explained in the novel.

Seen the movie twice, he definitely had tires on his legs before he re-awakened

    thanks ^^

That shows how unconcentrated Bay was with this movie again.
I noticed it during the movie. Why does noone else from their film crew notice that???

more importantly, if Prime's matrix can bring dead transformers back to life, why not revive all the Autobots on the Ark.

Sentinel wasn't dead, just in stasis lock. There was a whole dialogue about that whole subject. It's the friggin' reason they went up to get him in the first place.

exactly, so his quote still stands...

could have surely used the matrix to bring back to life dead protoforms? which im assuming are just dead from the ship crashing on impact...so could have minimal damage physically and wouldrequire no parts to help resurrection?
