BBC News - Segway boss Jimi Heselden dies in scooter cliff fall
Proof segways are rife with irony.
The movie terminator is correct, machine will get the upper hand...
Seriously, why not jump off thee damn thing?
That 1st bold paragraph almost makes it sound the old man was doing it for sport.
Just watched Mr Deeds and keep thinking about how his uncle died in the beginning.
I never understood the point of a self-balancing two-wheeled scooter. Why not just put a third wheel on the thing, instead of all that gyroscopic crap?
Gyroscopic is awesome, because it feels almost like an extension of yourself. You literally lean your body whichever way you want to go, and the machine does the work for you.
Or at least, that's what the companies want you to think.
LOL at how this guy could fall off a cliff on one of these things, though. Get the bloody hell off the damn thing. It's not like it's that hard, either. There's not even a bloody seatbelt. Actually, there ain't even no seat.
poor guy but i gotta admit i chuckled a bit.
i have this mental image of him shouting I REGRET NOTHING as he plummeted *insert wilhelm scream...better yet, goofy's*
I know its bad, but I imagine him saying "Oh what cruel irony!!" *voice fades.*
That's horrible... But I can't stop laughing...
thats so bad yet so funny. shame on us all.
I was keeping a straight face while reading the article and the first few posts. But I just lost it at this.
Now I'm going to hell, thanks a lot
Segway - not for offroading next to cliffs.
I was thinking of the Simpson's jumping their skateboard off the gorge!
The irony of this is incredible.
GOB Bluth NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!
White men can't jump either..
Separate names with a comma.
