Firstly, Nintendo Fanboys, go cry your bitter tears elsewhere. This thread is about true gaming Icons; those made by SEGA. The greatest game creators ever in the history of everything.

Yes, Sega have, of late, been struggling to annoy their fans enough to make them leave, but a true fan never dies. A TRUE FAN NEVER DIES. And if you've held on to your heart, your dreams that Sega may once again return to utter greatness, then YOUR PATIENCE HAS PAID OFF!

BEHOLD THE MAJESTY OF SEGA SUPERSTARS TENNIS.

Oh shit, NiGHTS! That's right, holding a Tennis raquet.

Oh fuck, a next-gen Sonic that doesn't suck balls!

Creamy goodness! Tails playing Virtua Cop... with Tennis balls!

Under the hood is an extremely solid reworking of Virtua Tennis. In some places simplified, in others made deeper. Regardless of your feelings on the matter it's a better game for it.

It has lots of Sega characters, including the greatest Sega Character ever...

It also has a shit ton of awesome tennis minigames, including one where you smack the shit out of Zombies.

IN OTHER WORDS; buy this game. It's fucking awesome wowsome.

(This game is on everything, even the Wii so Nintendo fanboys can see what a real game looks like :3)

    Yes. Singles and Doubles.

Again, if you're downgrading to the Wii or PS2 version you are SOL.

    ;)

When this game was first announced I thought it would be a day one purchase ...for the Wii.

Wii Sports tennis is one of the few minigames that my wife will consistently play, and it keeps the kids entertained when my boy has his cousins or friends over.

It seemed like a natural step then to upgrade the tennis to a game that had cool characters and a little more depth.

Then the reviews came in and the game seems to score high, but the reviewers state how the motion controls are imprecise and it's better to use the controller configuration and online is nonexistent.

Excuse me, but if I buy a Wii game I expect to use the motion controls and it's 2008 -I expect a game like this to have a pretty big online component.

I hear the detractors of Xbox Live talk about how the Wii and PS3 have free online games, but I promise you that you get what you pay for.

The Wii games either ignore any online component altogether or the games that have it implement it in odd ways. Ways that appear broken when compared to Xbox Live.

At any rate, I hadn't even considered getting it for the 360, but the reviews have been surprisingly good and its got the Twin Twist Seal of Nondisapproval so I'll have to give it a go.

Plus, cool online > waggle controls any day.

    Mario Power Tennis has tennis?
Holy shiz! I had no idea.
