the question is do US versions of games the require the cart in japan IE:marvel super heroes also require the cartridge or do they work fine without it. also does anyone know if the game shark works as a 4mb ram cart like the action replay as both are datel designed just gameshark is sold through interact.

As far as I know Gameshakr and Action Replay are identical other than the sticker. As for the games, they should run without the cart, I'm personally not aware of any that don't.

Tikgnat will stop by tomorrow, no doubt, to correct me if I'm wrong.

    They work fine without it.

The US Marvel Super Heroes does use it to add in the missing frames, it has to be activated in the options screen. I'm not sure if any of the other games that put it to use though.

Pretty sure there wasn't a GameShark that has the extra 4mb expansion as a feature. PAR being the only one I know of.
