This is my first time customizing a toy that is NOT an Alternator. Those of you that know may remember me from such customs as:
- Alternators Armada Hotshot
- Alternators Armada Red Alert
- Alternators Armada Jetfire
- Alternators Armada Side Swipe

- Alternators Armada Starscream

So, now that you know me...

I present to you, my first non-Alternator custom. Movie Hotshot. I had the intention to turn this extra '08 Movie Bumblebee into a movie accurate version, however, after seeing 101 customs (that were all awesome) I figured it was pointless to throw another out there.

 

I'm not sure myself, but do all those "sponsors" (e.g. Injen, Greddy, HKS) actually make performance parts for domestics/Camaros?

Not keen on the red centercaps (with the yellow, it reminds me of Ronald McDonald's honker).

Still, nice work overall.

Well, probably not this Camaro...but I'm sure they make something. They just happen to be some of the brands I would go with myself...

Figured I'd add a little piece of me, since Hotshot is my favorite character.

And here's bot mode. I painted the robot parts with a color called Fire Pepper Red. The paint is very strong and resiliant, as I have transformed this guy at least 50 times by now.

I thought the color fit Hotshot. No blackwash ...but I did highlight some areas with Testor's gloss red. I detailed some other areas with a combination of black, silver, and gold.

The helmet was created with a lego space man visor, and is held in place by two eyeglass repair kit screws. It is able to move up and down.















I'm anxious to hear what everyone thinks...during the movie I kept picturing Bumblebee as a cross of G1 Bumblebee and Armada Hotshot...and thats where I got the idea.

Testor's Decal Maker...its at Walmart with their model paint..I think its like $7.88 and comes with some label paper you can use in your inkjet printer. Then, after you printed the decal out, you spray some bonder (included) and then cut, and apply!

It comes with some software, but I use photoshop myself.

All of them make stuff for Domestics except for Greddy....and when the real Camaro hits the street....who knows who'll jump on the bandwagon....

the majority of his sponsors make relatively universal things: Brembo makes brakes, Recaro makes seats, you can put a NOS system on anything. but there are a few that do not and probably won't make camaro parts like HKS and injen. technically greddy doesn't make anything specifically for the camaro, but you in theory could put a greddy turbo on one, it'd just take some fab work.

the new red body looks pretty sharp, though i'm not a big fan of the red centers on the wheels.
