    The one I always remember:
In the movie Flight of the Navigator, the main character receives a number of toys at one point. They’re all piled on a bed, and among them is a Shrapnel in box.

I'm not a huge fan of Family Guy, but I lied when Optimus Prime shows up and it turns out he's Jewish.

Don’t know if it was mentioned, but the start of season 2 of Ultimate Beastmaster on Netflix, they say their beast looks like a cross between Godzilla & a Transformer.

I had this commercial on one of my old VHS tapes, so I saw it many times. The one robot’s head looks exactly like Soundwave.

Imagine if Transformers were done as a live-action movie in the 80s

Kirby Krackle are a nerd-rock outfit out of Seattle. Their songs are all full of references to comics, cartoons, video games and movies.

In their song "Big Heart," off the album "Super Powered Love," has an on-the nose line comparing a wannabe super-hero to a Transformer.

"A new hero for an apathetic nation,
like a Transformer - more to me than meets the eye,"

From the same album, "Hunt 'Em All Down" is a song specifically about Transformers.

The tone of this track makes me think of the Autobots alliance with N.E.S.T. in the live-action movies, more than any classic Transformers aspects. I feel like, for better or worse, Revenge of the Fallen pioneered the concept of Autobots actively exterminating Deceptions hiding on Earth, and that's what is going on with "Hunt 'Em All Down."

One more from Kirby Krackle, here's "Roll Over" off the "E For Everyone" album.

"Roll Over" (featuring a rap by GMK The Great) is an "in da club" track for kids who grew up on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons.

Obviously, there is a Transformers reference in there, Cybertron is suggested as an afterparty locale. I'm tempted to list all the cartoon & comic book references because this song is just dripping with them.

    ● Oa from Green Lantern comics
    ● Thundera from Thundercats
    ● Greymalkin Lane, the location of the X-mansion from X-Men comics
    ● Snake Mountain from Masters of the Universe
    ● Jem and the Hologram girls from Jem and the Holograms
    ● Alison Blair (Dazzler) from X-Men comics
    ● a Thundercat, from Thundercats, is broadly referenced
    ● an Amazon is broadly referenced
    ● Gummiberry juice from Disney's Gummi Bears cartoon
    ● Getafix potion from Asterix comics
    ● Dagger references Cliff Dagger from the MASK Mobile Armored Strike Kommand cartoon
    ● Hawk Haven from Silverhawks cartoon
    ● Cybertron from some robot show. I dunno.
    ● Smurf Village from The Smurfs comics
    ● a Tigershark, from Tigersharks, is broadly referenced
    ● a Rescue Ranger, from Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers is broadly referenced
    ● not one, not two, but three Powerpuff Girls are referenced
    ● Johnny Bravo, from his own self-titled Cartoon Network show, is referred to as the name of a drink
    ● Pepper Ann from her own self-titled Disney cartoon is referenced
    ● Fred Flint refers to Fred Flintstone from The Flintstones cartoon
    ● Diana Prince is the sometime alter-ego of Wonder Woman
    ● Bruce Wayne is a millionaire playboy who is never around when Batman is. Weird.
    ● Daphnie and Shaggy are meddling kids from Scooby-Doo cartoons
    ● Morgandorffer refers to Daria Morgandorffer from her own MTV cartoon. Her hometown Lawndale is referenced soon after.
    ● Fraggle girl broadly references a girl from down in Fraggle Rock
    ● Cucco Girl is a character from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds video game. I have to admit, I had to Google that one.
    and finally...
    ● Skrull girl is a shape-shifting alien from the Marvel universe, most notably Fantastic Four comics

    How'd I do, guys?

Believe me, we wanted it. However, I absolutely love the 86 movie and the time capsule it's become. Back on topic...

Spaceballs (1987): Two references here. First, when Yogurt, played by Mel Brooks, is telling the characters about merchandising the movie, he shows a sticker book with Optimus Prime on it and a lunch box with the 1987 G1 package art on it (the one with Metroplex featured prominently). Second, John Candy's character, Barf, says "It's not just a spaceship...it's a Transformer!" while Spaceball-1 is transforming into Mega Maid.

Hackers (1995): I think it's Matthew Lillard's character that mentions the Deceptions in passing while talking with the other characters. It's very quick, but I remember rewinding the VHS tape to hear it again.

    This thread is awesome, BTW!

    Thanks!

Also, here's another reference made at Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, with Megatron as option B:

Started watching the Good Place on Netflix this evening and in one episode, a character likens a glowing lie detecting cube to the Allspark from Transformers.
