Maybe, it should be a chrome piece, maybe it's the light. Mr. Shi really messed up the g1 market with all his KOs.

Yeah shouldn't it be silver instead of gold?

Slag seems to be the easiest to identify. The S in the Transformers logo looks kinda off as well (way brighter than the other letters). Also, it seems like it's missing an extra Transformers logo above Dinobot Flamethrower Slag (it's there on Sludge). Same oversized grey border (especially around the gun) as the other bootlegs and the box art for Slag seems to be a bit higher than the original (there shouldn't be a gap between his left foot and the edge of the box).

Used this auction for the Slag comparison:

Sludge seems tougher, but the box art is definitely too high (left foot should be touching the edge of the box). Can't really see any other differences..

KOtransformers has a box comparison for Sludge:

$120 seems pretty high. I figured they'd be around the same price as the KO Mirage or whatnot. Hopefully the prices drop in the next few weeks as distribution becomes higher.

remember they do test shots of these things. Most noticable was swoop with all the early paint and chrome problems. These are likely the same. My friend emails me on regular production runs when he hears they are on the way, and another seller does right at the same time. Neither has said this is ready yet.

I can assure you that Slag and Sludge are now on the market. I bought a couple from my friend in China for some friends of mine who don't have paypal.

If you want to buy one, you shouldn't pay more than 75 dollars + shipping. Anymore would just be a rip-off.

Whoa. Where are these bootlegs coming from? Who is Shi? How did he get the molds from Takara? These look pretty good. I'd never buy it just because I don't support KO's as it helps deteriorate the TF toy world.

Even has the Hasbro label. Nuts!

I saw some other pics of the KO Slag box and noticed the yellow circle is way too bright and misses it's gradient

Shi Yu is the guy in charge of the knockoff company, called Playcenter (AKA In-jin Technology Ltd., or something like that).
