I'm going over the list of Transformers I need to compete each year for my G1 collection and I stumbled upon this guy's listings. His eBay name is happystag1720 and only has 2 feedback. He has many Transformers listed starting at $0.99.

I know i'm protected with Paypal if the seller is a con but before I bids on all the figures I need I noticed something interesting.

For Flywheels, the picture it has the date 04/23/2004. I find that suspious and should go with my gut on this. The listing is below:
Transformers g1 flywheels complete w/ manual - eBay (item 180335824137 end time Mar-17-09 16:54:25 PDT)

So what do you guys think?

I'd be suspicious if all the photos had different dates but they're all the same. So either:

    a) the date on the seller's camera is wrong , or
    b) he's saved a load of images from someone else's auctions and ripped them all off wholesale

Seems like a lot of work for b...

Could be a case of changing batteries and never fixing the clock.

    Ebay:
I can understand the date of a picture not corresponding with an ebay auction, my camera does not do that but since I normally take a picture of a figure when I bring it home if I decide to sell it a few years later then the orginal date of the picture won't be the same as the auction date.

If you look at all the other auctions, the date is off on those too. And, the date seems to be progressing further as the listings get posted on different days.

    Bad camera clock for sure.

I think he's real. He's sold two items, but recieved no feedback for it. He sold a Star Wars CGC card and an N64 system. The n64 pic has the same bad date thing in the corner. I'd say he's safe but just needs to learn to operate his camera better.

Also with that low of feedback, Paypal will certainly hold the money until you recieve the item and leave feedback, and 3 days after that probably. Too new of a seller selling too many high price items.

Yeah... He's a scammer. How about none of you bid on any of his auctions? I'll just watch them and bid low amounts at the end and then fight the good fight for you when he doesn't send me the stuff...
