I've finally gotten everything stabilized since I moved into our new house. I've got a big jewelry display case (approx. 5'x4'x2.5') that I've been using to display my robits. I don't really like overflow, so I usually limit the display to a particular group of TFs. My collection has three "themes" and I have enough TFs in each theme that I could probably only display one theme in the display case at a time. The themes are:

    - Original G1. This is just straight-up '84 and '85 characters.

    - G1 homages. These include classics, classics 2.0, any eschewed homages from A/E/C or the '07 or '10 movie that look closely enough like their original '84-'85 counterpart to pass as a redo of that character

    - Alternators & Binaltech and Masterpiece. Since these guys are kind of in their own size scale, I keep them separate.

So, any thoughts? A majority of my best kitbashes are the alternators, but I really like the way the classics look and pose. Also, there's nothing more fun than the glint of shiny G1 chrome. I'm at an impasse and need some suggestions!

Alternators and Masterpiece's are great, but for me nothing can compare to a collection of G1 figures.

I'm still not sure. I think the biggest collection I have right now are the G1 homages. At the same time, I keep thinking about my Alts just sitting in storage and wondering if I should break them out or not...

G1's, Alts and Master's. Leave the other stuff in storage.

I'd go with G1's. You may have more homage figures but sometimes less is more. I'm actually working on moving my own G1's away from the other figures into 2 really nice display cases. There's way more room than I need for just G1's but when you give them room to breathe, they really stand out.

One more suggestion would be to get an additional case(s). Then you could have more than one collection on display. :D

I think I probably go with the classics and homages.
