    Behind the scene notes.

    Page 1.

Panel 1 is a tribute to page 1 of G1 Marvel US #1, illustrated by Frank Springer.

The narrating structure recalls "SoD Omega Supreme", but focuses on different aspects of Cybertron: the reason is the different personality of the character who is telling the story.

    Page 2.

Panel 1 is another tribute to page 1 of G1 Marvel US #1,

Colors schemes for the generic Cybertronians are from the G1 Micromaster toys. A subtle nod to an upcoming Mosaic illustrated by Ibai.

Helix Gardens are mentioned for the first time in "The War Within Vol 1" #1 by Prowl.

Who is this Furmaximum character? :p

    Page 3.

Panel 1: the nameless bot is a Repaint of Protectobot Groove, as seen in his cybertronian form in "War Within: The Dark Ages" (design by Don Figueroa!).

Why is he a Repaint? Because most G1/G2 characters are not around, at this time: they are still Protoform in the Infiltration Batch.

    Page 4.

The "Heavy Burden" is a reference to Rodimus Prime.

Omega is the Supreme of this age: his role and his differences with Nova Prime come from "Spotlight: Optimus Prime".

    Page 5.

Crossover with "Seeds Of Deception: Omega Supreme".

Panels 1-2-3 correspond to page 6 of "SoD: Omega Supreme".

Panel 4 happens soon after. If Shockwave had not left (to move to his own chapter), he would have seen the Matrix Flame portent!

This is the THIRD perspective of the ordinance of Sentinel Prime: after Shockwave and Omega Supreme, it's now Senterius/Sentinel's turn.

Matrix Fire: a reference to the infamous Matrix Flame briefly seen in the classic "Target: 2006" (G1 Marvel UK comics).

Or it is the Hoyoku Tensho from "Saint seiya".

"I will choose my own path" is a reference to the closing sentence of "The War Within Vol 1" (spoken by Optimus Prime).

    Page 6.

The Staff Of Balance was drawn by Don Figueroa in "Spotlight: Optimus Prime".

Peter designed the "open" version of this Staff.

"Chest Of The Treasures Of The Light": a collection of ancestral artifacts that Primus gave to the Cybertronians in the age of myth.
The Matrix Case belongs to these Treasures.

"Light-Treasure" is a reference to Gnosis.

In panels 2-3-4, we got close to use "Transform and transcend" (as spoken by the Oracle in "Beast Machines"): but it did not make sense, so we moved to the more familiar "Till All Are One" of TFTM86.

"Chosen One" is (another) nod to Rodimus Prime.

The Ancients can transform. They become spheres, in a reference to japanese pre-Transformers toys (Sphere-Robo).
In sphere form, they can interat with the Chamber and open the Vault that hosts the Treasures.

    amazing stuff so far!

i like how you seem to integrate many things from all the eras of TF's and other things (i was thinking the transforming to spheres was a bakugan thing lol) and still come up with a great story that seems to come from a history book, not a fictional story. it seems to tell itself.

Oh Primus, I will lose: Deviant Art, Facebook, 5 Tf forums... and now Myspace =__=

We need something more effective to promote this project.
