Hellz yeah I want this! This is practically Starship Troopers the game, but there was a game about Starship Troopers and.... never mind. I've looked at some videos and an odd thing one of the developers said is that there is no one shot kills in this game. That's a little odd, but it hasnt derailed me from wanting. Hell, Starsiege:Tribes had no one shot kills either (Havoc & Renegade mods dont count!!!), except for that heavy mortar which would only kill a light armor guy if they where at ground zero of the blast. Actually this game reminds me alot of Starsiege Tribes. There's even jetpacks that give some pretty good air time.
As I've told some guys already, I'm in the beta for this game. Cant say too much cause of the NDA but the game seems pretty cool so far. The bot-AI friggen cheats though!
Maybe. I watched the gameplay video on Live and was intrigued. I've meant to look more into it as it reminded me of Tribes. Pretty sure Sierra was involved with Tribes in some way (the PS2 Tribes atleast).
You're not too far off about the Sierra thing, their sister company Dynamix did Starsiege:Tribes, which they also did the Earthsiege, which then has a history of doing the first MechWarrior game (but not MechWarrior 2).
Is that where you play as Corp. Klinger and try to get out of the Army by wearing Dresses? Damnit you beat me to it!
So far I think this game sucks. Killing people is annoying, confusing and can be close to impossible, the hud is cluttered as all hell, you walk so fucking slow, your knife does shit, squad spawning is usually pointless, etc.
I think that there are armor components that'll allow you to move faster. Check out your armor options. I cant remember too well, sorry.
i rented it and eh was left pretty unsatisfied which is a shame cuz the trailer had me PUMPED its a cool concept just not quite executed right IMO
