Here is my finished Seaspray, that I previewed in "Thunderbat16"s previous thread about Seaspray customs. Hope you like it.

I went with a gold and yellow custom paint mix since just yellow seemed too extreme.

Bot mode with elbows and hands. The hands are from a stikfas figure.

I made the engines into handheld weapons. The front grill is from another Shortround and the rest of engine is from an energon Terradive.

I had the origonal head (with some mods) at first but then decides it wasn't large enough.

I tried to make some custom paint to match the sides of the vehicle but failed so I stayed with the gold. The pictures make it clash more than it really does. Let me know your likes and dislikes. Thanks.

Dude, that is awesome. The only suggestion I would make is that you paint the white on the front of the hovercraft that becomes the feet and legs blue. It would match G1 Seaspray alot more.

Love it, with the exception of the hands...and the white.

    Make the white blue!

I consider this an upgrade instead of a duplicate of G1 Seaspray. I was going to paint more blue but decided to keep it the same since part of the origonal has white in alt mode and it gave a better seperation to the airbags/cabin.

And Onesock. I used these hands since they were the only ones that would fit and still give me some usefullness as hands. There isn't much space available without sacrificeing his alt/bot mode.
This was all the space I was able to free up and I needed a wrist and hand.

The posts for the guns are red since that was the only color Stikfas weapon posts I had available. They are only seen when it is in his hands.

Thanks for you comments Thunderbat16 (and everyone else). Your the one who got me back on this project.

That looks great. The white works for his altmode.

    added requested "how" pics

someone (unnamed), through a PM, ask me to show some pics of how I did my modifications.
I finally got around to it and decided to add them here.

This is a shot of all the pieces affected in creating some space for the hands.
I have closer pics of each piece following this one.

There isn't much available space to remove from the shoulders without destroying the arm socket or the elbow joint. Here is the inside view of the shoulder. They used some glue along with the three screws so this may save you taking yours apart. It isn't neccesary to disassemble unless you are going to change the joints.

    Outside view
    [IMG]

Here is the un-cut waist that will give a small amount of space.

    The finished waist.

    Side view of un-cut waist

    Finished side view
    [IMG]

Wider view of bottom. I have the front and back sections seperated a little to show the cut spot of the surround/airbag. I used two seperate Shortrounds to make one complete Seaspray due to the loss of material when cutting. (I hope that it explains it better) The front section was glued to the origonal feet and I also placed two screws (with wide heads and then cut off the edge that protruded into the middle mating area) where the front wheel was to help make a more secure attachment. Thus no front wheel on the finished product. (hovercraft)

I hope this is helpful. Good luck

I love it. This is a fantastic custom of the Shortround mold and SHOULD have been the official color scheme. Someone at Hasbro fell asleep! :stick:

Too bad Hasbro didn't repaint the toy like yours; would've made a great Classics figure much like Cybertron Smokescreen. Otherwise, great work! Now turn Cyb. Armorhide into Huffer, please... :D

That is truly excellent work. Flawless remolding, and I love the pontoons on his feet to give him real arms. Very, very nice. Great job.
