And in other news, our very reliable source reports that the sky is, indeed, falling.

Maybe because the canada version comes out a week ahead of us so no one watches it on saturdays and sundays anymore. It just gets downloaded with no commercials.

    Well atleast in the US.

    Just a thought.

Honestly I think it would be awesome if they did a 2 hour transformers special and air two episodes back to back to catch us up to canada. Otherwise I dont know why we would even turn on the tv to watch it saturday anymore. The download is just to convenient

How many 8 year olds do you think actively hop onto TFW to download the latest torrent from Canada on a week-to-week basis?

Is it downloadable through Cartoon Network's website? If so, then they no doubt have sponsors, and track the traffic downloading them. This shouldn't ultimately impact their "ratings," since they are getting paid both ways. If you are downloading them illegally, then shame on you, you and people like you deserve to have your cartoon canceled!! :)

To be honest, it's not illegal until they release a DVD.

But yeah what you going on dude? Season 3 was confirmed last month I think.

IIRC, Season 3 is in production but not actually confirmed to be picked up yet. Everyone assumes it'll happen, but technically it hasn't been given the green light yet. Hasbro even said @ BotCon "if Season 3 happens..." when talking about future plans for Animated, so that probably caused a few people to hit the panic button.

I'm not worried in the least since I would be shocked if Cartoon Network didn't pick it up. The reviews are strong across the board, people are clammering for the toys and Hasbro seems to be thinking way into the future with this series in terms of toys, comics & other plethoras of merchandising, so I'm sure it's only a matter of sitting down to officially cross the T's and dot the I's. Plus I have to wonder how important ratings even are for someone like CN considering their target demographic is kids on Saturday mornings. Good or bad, I'm sure they give most shows at least a 3-4 season chance since we're not talking about primetime viewers on a major network. Then again, I could just be talking outta my ass here.

    :)

As long as Hasbro is willing to pay CN, the series will continue.
Show seasons 1 and 2, release the toys, then show both seasons again, over and over until Hasbro approves a 3rd season and so on. It's the '22 minute toy commercial' thing. Cartoon Network earns nothing but Hasbro's money for hosting Transformers episodes since it's not their content.

In the age of lawyers people have to use words like "if" even when Hasbro, Cartoon Network, the production company, and fans all agree there should be a season 3. They have to wait for all the legal ink to dry before saying season 3 is on the way.

Besides they are showing it on Cartoon Network not FOX so the show has a chance of actually living for a while instead of getting dropped for some live action comedy no one is going to watch :D

I happen to be one of those.
and I try to watch every Transformers animated airing I can remember.

Although since I had the day off today I didn't get up early enough to watch the 6:00 airing. If there even was one.

Not sure how interested they are in my demographic though.

I honestly don't wanna see CN pull a Megas on this show.

I miss Megas XLR, so short lived...

Yeah I thought I heard new season coming up real soon, it's a bit too early to pull the plug. Also toy sales haven't came in yet!
