http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20070607/118124886000.html Oh well. Looks like the last potential reason to want to see this has just left the building...
As much as I would like to see another Indy film, I think even Ford is getting too old. I realize the movie is supposed to be appropiate to his age, I just don't want to see Jones as an old man.
Hmm...the only interesting thing I remember Connery doing since the last Indy movie was 'Finding Forrester.' I thought he might want to redeem himself after 'The Avengers' and 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.' -Tony!
YOU'RE THE MAN NOW, DOG! Kidding. Sorry. I think it's gonna be...I dunno, awkward? to see Harrison Ford as an older Indy.
I think they should have let the series end at "Last Crusade". Can you imagine Ford putting his Han Solo vest back on and trying to play that role again now? Sad. Although, for some reason I just thought of the Patton Oswalt bit where he does his version of Nick Nolte as Han Solo with beer cans in his belt and a big gut looking all hungover.. awesome stuff Edit: Yay found a crappy youtube version, guess the beer cans are a Batman reference though. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q4stEasOVrI
While I wished that they would not move forward on this movie as the last one ended so perfectly, I can't help but be a little excited.
Enjoying retirement myabe the cover story, but I think we all know that, in reality, Connery is far too busy training the next Highlander, and couldn't possibly fit another movie role into his schedule.
Lucas actually offered Harrison $25 million to make a Han Solo movie along with the new movie and he turned the Han movie down.
Pretty sure that was shot down as a rumor a while back. As for Connery..while I'm dubious but generally positive about Indy 4, I wish he'd come back, even if only for a bit part, so LXG isn't the last thing he ever did. No way Indy 4 is that bad.
