    Ebay:
Hell, Hasbro needs to release this at US retail. Their online store's crappy checkout system screwed me out of mine. I still want one but don't want to pay the insane ebay prices...
I think I might just send Hasbro an e-mail about this b/c I think it's complete BS that they've handled the release so poorly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Rodimus was released in Malaysia?

Unless you mean to imply that KA was lying.

Hasbro USA did offer the toy. Rodimus was available at San Diego Comic-Con and through the Hasbro Toy Shop.

So that's how that works.... I heard once that Faventoys (Hasbro's official local distributor) didn't allow certain TFs or Star Wars toys imported without their permission, effectively making those toys more expensive when found here. :(

They offered it for a few short days and for only a couple of minutes online. Im talking about making more units available to us for a longer amount of time. They have no real excuse.

I'm not interested in the toy, but I sure do agree with the stupidity of the way it was handled, at least from what I've read and been told...

In what was by all accounts I've read a complete clusterfuck at the convention and to US customers only for a period of an hour at best online through HTS.

What's ridiculous is that more from the Asian production run weren't offered at a later date via Hasbro's store. Of course, that would've blown gaping holes two of the biggest excuses we get when it comes to toys not being released. Economies of scale, which made the original run profitable enough for sale in the 3rd world, would've negated that argument further and it'd be really difficult to take seriously all the caterwauling over evil/stupid retail chains being at fault for not ordering because Hasbro would be its own damned outlet in this case.

The former I knew, the latter I didn't. It was strange that NP was available at odd stores when other Alts that would have been more successful were skipped all together.

So... when will Casefresh be recieving their order of Alts Mirage, Camshaft, Ravage and Rumble? They have been sitting in preorder status for almost a year now...? :p

Uh, it was availible on HTS for well over 4 hours. I ordered one, came back two hours later, and ordered a second. They still had them in stock two hours after that.

I don't. But can I blame them for not distributing toys to stores that do want them?

This reply from Casefresh re my orders and their Alternators listings:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hasbro Australia have not given us any indication as to when we can expect
Alternators to arrive. Once we know more we will update the website to
    reflect the latest information.

    Regards,
    [Xxxxx]

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That was in May. The pre-orders are still there.

Right. 4 hours to get a toy is totally enough time for everyone who wants to get one to get one. Nobody has things to do like work or school where they dont have access to a computer to order things. :rolleyes2

Very unlikely he'll find any in Perth - all of these strange Alt releases have been on the East Coast - they've never shown up over here. In fact the last Alt we got was Meister.
