no? the paint scheme comes from the beggining of Clone Wars vol. 2 Republic Attack Gunship that the ARCs fly in to save the day in (titanium pic)... it does look pretty sweet on a ARC-170 though

That new Vader remold is a pass for me. The repainted ARC fighter looks worthy of purchase. As for the scheme, I thought that was only on the Gunships? Anyways, still looks cool.:D

I still think these things are abominations. I can see them being really fun for kids though, so eh.

They shoulda saved that paint job for a gunship.. that is if they make a SWTF version of it.

I think there was one announced for later in 2007, I'm betting it will be a $30 release myself.

But I ADORE the remolds on the ARC

*sigh* ...so they can slap three heads onto the Jedi Starfighter mold but they cant put new heads on Alternators anymore?

Cool alt mode for the ARC fighter... Bot mode looks like a deranged zebra though...

Wow, hasbro is really pushing that EU Vader's starfighter. One in figure scale, one in SWTFs, just waiting to see a 3 inch titanium of it.

The CW gunship deco on the arc looks amazing, even better than it did on the gunship itself.

I imagine the costs for SWTFs are far less than alternators based off their engineering and shoddy plastic used for them. Just my speculation though.

I hate the SWTFs, but I'd still be tempted to pick up that ARC, just for the paint scheme.

The plastic quality I might give you, but not the rest. The heads of Alternators have nothing to do with the engineering so long as they're the same size and able to work with the same transformation. And for how much better the remolds do than the straight repaints (Rollbar will warm shelves here forever) I would think the costs would justify.

Vader as a Jedi starfighter? I don't get it....at all.

C'mon Hasbro. Give us a real Vader. The first one sucks ass and this new one makes no sense. Vader + Emperor $40 Star Destroyer combiner. You know you want to do it.

Not feeling the evil zebra paint job, but give me that new robot head on the original clone fighter and I'll be happy.

I'm dying to see new molds though. Each new mold has gotten steadily better, and the Falcon was flat-out awesome. I want to see if they can keep it up.

Of all the characters that could have been made into a Jedi Starfighter, why Vader??? Why not be cool and do a Mace Windu?

Not untill after they've done the Millinium Falcon with Lando and that fish head dude.

I probably shouldn't be giving them ideas....

You mean Nien Numb? He doesn't have a fish head; that's Admiral Ackbar who was on the Rebellion's flagship never the Millenium Falcon, Nien Numb is more... I don't know, but he's no fish head.

    On-Topic; Arc-170 repaint/retool, definately solid.
Vader's Starfighter... I might get it just because it would sort of bridge a gap between Anakin Jedi Starfighter and Vader Tie Advanced.
I think it's from the new book; to the ones who asked why he even has one of those, you know the novel set in between RotS and ANH featuring Vader as the main character.

Well, now that they're dipping into Expanded Universe stuff, I have to decide if I want to keep collecting 'em. I have all 11 of the first 3 1/2 waves, but I'm not too sure about these next two. Of course, I bought Jango Fett, so I'll probably get these. I'd still rather see new ships, though. Lando as CLoud Car, etc. We'll still probably get a Mace Windu Jedi Starfighter, though.

    -Tony!
Thinks Episodes 1-3 should also count as 'Expanded Universe.'
