SDCC 2008 Nemesis Prime - Transformers Classics Exclusives at BigBadToyStore
No Skywarp yet
That is quite expensive, yet won't be surprised if it sells out
Wait... so.... when is hasbrotoyshop.com putting up their order? It's still not there yet... *mutters* It's only a 25 dollar figure...
I have one en route already but must have one for MISB. I love the NP concept.
I cant wait to stand him next to the NP Big Convoy target exclusive from a couple years back.
That is one hell of a mark-up though. If I wasn't getting a raise with a few weeks back pay I would have passed.
I don't think its the $23 markup that's preventing me so much as it's supporting BBTS in the process that I don't like...
Its one thing for internet sellers to import stuff from Japan and sell for a profit here but it really bugs me when they're going to be getting these Nemesis Prime's by either A)paying people to go to the show and buy it just for them or B)sitting on their asses waiting for it hit Hasbro Toy Shop and ordering as many as they possibly can. I know a lot of people don't have a problem with it so I won't go on and on about it getting the thread off topic but I'd just as soon take my chances by getting it direct from HTS or just plain going without it.
Yeah, that's rather high. I'm off from work on Monday so I'll take my chances on HTS.
yea i was fearing it'd be up in the $100's like the $200 clear one, but the $50's not bad, considering it's only a little more then the japanese convoy.
For the many of us that will fail trying to get it from HTS that's probably better than most prices we'll see afterwards, but I agree it could've been a little lower maybe
High price=no buy from me.
it is pricey, same as the going price on ebay. but i've seen bins on ebay for only around $40, although shipping's around $10.
Yeah, I got mine in the mail coming from a fellow board member for $52 shipped.
The way I see it, the dude waited in line for it and it was an exclusive. $52 is still a ton cheaper than what I would've had to pay for a plane ticket, hotel room, convention fees, etc.
I'm sure I could've found it for cheaper when HTS puts it up. But then I'd have to deal with putting up with the internet traffic and the possibility of it selling out before the first minute passes.
^ Now that is logic. The fact that you can still get ANY "exclusive" without actually going to the show is great. Can you imagine the bitching if there was no ebay or BBTS to get these from?
Instead of bitching about markup, try being thankful you are able to get it at all
like that will ever happen....
Hell w/ it if it sells out on HTS.com. Barney Botcon Prime owns his ass anyway.
I preordered it, then cancelled it a few minutes later. With everything else that's coming out, that's just too much for me to pay for it.
Maybe I'll get lucky, and my wife will actually be able to get one of these off of HTS for me. I'm not holding my breath though.
Mine came out to be $50 shipped from RobotKingdom.com over in Hong Kong...so BBTS' price isn't far off.
Good luck to anyone hoping to get one from HTS, you're going to need it. With the money I'd lose sitting around at home instead of working waiting for it to go online just to fail in acquiring one, may as well just pay the mark-up. It's not like SDCC exclusives come out every month. So ya gotta pay out the ass once a year, big whoop. You probably waste more money in a year buying random shit you don't need while waiting in line at the store.
I paid $55 shipped to get a "new loose" one from China last month, and I already bashed it (swapped chrome bumpers from Henkei Prime)!
