I have been seeing many reviews of this guy and I'm very close to trying to get him. Do you guys think I should? Is he really good? What are some pros and cons you guys have with him. Thanks!

I read somewhere that the retail one won't have the painted crack in the glass. Oh, and it won't come with the dark energon pieces.

Some of the paint apps on the two versions is supposed to be different. The SDCC version also comes with a Dark Energon shard.

The retail one is just dumbed down... less paint apps, no accessories, etc.

Common sense says to just go with the $12-$15 retail one that will come later this year. Slightly better paints apps, a dark energon shard, and a fancy box may be worth $25 ($10 more) but definitely not aftermarket prices.

Of course, commen sense also doesn't take into consideration the current unknown of how easily available the "retail" version will be.

No, it's very confusing. The Asia exclusive FE one is just plain red with a new "classics" head (CJ #5). We're talking about the other FE one (CJ #6).

Here's a list of FE Cliffjumper mold uses.
    1) FE Cliffjumper (Hasbro) - release in Canada TRU and other areas around the world. Packaged in car mode.
    2) FE Cliffjumper (Takara) - japanese shinier release.
    3) AM Terrorcon Cliffjumper (Takara) - translucent purple
    4) SDCC12 Terrorcon Cliffjumper (Hasbro) - fancy box, dark energon paint cracks over red, dark energon shard.
    5) Asia Exclusive Generations Cliffjumper - plain red, uses TF:p rime FE mold with new classic-ish head
    6) FE Terrorcon Cliffjumper (Hasbro) - announced at SDCC, exclusive?, red with energon paintjob but not as much as SDCC version?

    #1 vs #2

As someone else said, the box is damn impressive. I was a little on the fence (though it was the only SDCC item I was going after), and was quite pleasantly surprised when I got the package. The box and Cliffy head display is awesome.

I think if I cut out the bottom of the head it could be a decent mask...

But yes. Does getting it months early, with more paint, exclusive accessories, and neat packaging matter to you?

If you're a patient person who throws out the box and don't care about accessories or that paint app, then just wait.

Personally, I went with the SDCC version since I wanted the mold, I'm rather impatient, and the TRU version will probably be about $18 anyway. I wouldn't pay aftermarket prices for it, unless you can find a deal on eBay or it goes back up on HTS. But that's just my opinion.

Is the zombie head packaging made of plastic or carton/paper?

Thin plastic, like... well, like a cheap Halloween mask.
