Ok so SDCC 2011 just got over and I may get beat up for this but what kind of Transformers stuff should we expect for next year? I'm making plans to go next year long as I can get my hands on tickets and it'll be my first time. With Transformers Prime ramping up next year I hope they won't be the dominating Transformers figures at SDCC but I fear they may be. Could we expect any cool Optimus Prime or movie commemoratives on a off movie year
I know this will get some hate.... but I'd totally cool with nemesis prime's RTS G2 Prime as a scourge nod black movie prime black prime prime I've got a soft spot for them and I'm game for any they trow at me.
RTS Scourge/Nemesis Prime would be nice, especially since Hasbro has released two Nemesis Primes already through SDCC.
Oh joy, a how can SDCC screw us over thread. RTS G2 Prime as Toxitron - LE 1,000 Alternators Rumble in Blue; alternate package labeling him as Frenzy - LE 1,000 Scout Rumble & Frenzy 2-pack - LE 1,000 My Little Pony - Hoptimus Pony vs Mare-atron - LE 5,000,000 Movie Masterpiece Blackout & Bonecrusher - LE 400 Transformers Prime - Death of Cliffjumper 2 Pack (Normal & Zombie); Cliffjumper no longer a mass release - LE 1,000 Ultimate Thundercracker Package - LE 100 - Masterpiece Thundercracker - Animated Thundercracker - Prime Thundercracker - RTS Legends Thundercracker
I'd like to see some Robot Chicken based exclusives such as: Prostate Cancer Optimus Prime Portapotty Soundwave Summer Love 1985 Rumble Apocalypse Ponies G.I. Joe Fumbles (Cobra Variant TrouserSnake) Let me know if you come up with other fun exclusives based on Robot Chicken and Yes I am Dead Serious.
Don't sound so skeptical! Considering they gave us Mo-Larr one year, these are actually pretty well within the realm of possibility. I'm not sure what I'd want more, Fumbles or the Apocalypse Ponies made from G4 bodies... As for new suggestions, how about flu-stricken Devastator and Roast Infiltrator Wild Bill (poorly disguised as Storm Shadow)?
A 2-Pack with A Kup Repaint as Gears with a Marvel Universe Black Costume Spider-Man,Prime Arcee (in G1 Colors) vs. Prime Knock Out (in G1 Colors) w/ Jack, & A 6" Simmons figure w/ Book, & Devastator's Balls.
Man, those are some damn good ideas, especially the first one-- excellent choice of Marvel homage! When you say "G1 colours" for Knock Out, though...uh, do you mean the Micromaster Knockout? The one who was a backhoe? Seems a bit unbecoming of our current Knock Out, though I guess it fits the theme with Arcee's G1 colours. And as awesomely hilarious as Devastator's balls would be, I'm pretty sure we're still not getting 'em; Hasbro was pretty clear on that. XD
If he does, he'll most likely be an early release ala Rodimus. Optimus Prime is too big a character to limit to just the SDCC, especially a figure of that class.
Prime Breakdown, Airachnid, Voyager Megatron and Dreadwing and maybe Ironhide, Prowl and Barricade. WFC Seekers. WFC Shockwave Generations RID Scourge
I'm still recovering from the SDCC scars of this year. By far the most painful and demoralizing experience i've ever had at SDCC. I'm hoping they give us a cool G1 reissue. Still hoping for a home run, like Shockwave or something similar. I loved the Soundwave and Blaster reissues.
I think an RTS Nemesis isn't too far out of the realm of possibility, given SDCC's proficiency for Nemesis Repaints, and an easy way to reach the market that would most likely buy it. Seems like a win win for Hasbro. I'm hoping we get another G1 Reissue, perhaps a Shockwave? ( I know it won't happen). I am hoping though that the eventual release of Masterpiece Prime 2.0 gets its debut at SDCC, as I'm planning on going next year.
Two movieverse ideas both very much playing with the 'Screen Battles' idea from the first movie toyline. - 'No Prisoners, Only Trophies' DOTM Deluxe Soundwave in a premium style paintjob packaged with a battle damaged repaint of Deluxe Que - $30 - 'Battle for the Planet' DOTM Voyager Sentinel Prime and DOTM Deluxe Prime both with premium style paint apps - $40-45 Then a final idea as more of a budget item produced in much larger quantities: Cyberverse Bumblebee repainted in pink with red eyes sold for $7-10
- 'Mexican Standoff' Voyager Ironhide (with movie accurate guns), Deluxe Sideswipe (with movie accurate guns), Deluxe Crankcase and Crowbar (retooled Crankcase)
