Is it bad that I'm excited for these way more than the mainline toys? Dat Devastator. Dat Springer. Dem other combining team members in blind packs. All of my want. Now Kre-O has caught my interest. These look fantastic.

See!? Now Hasbro has to remind me of my early attempts to introduce Transformers into Lego. (I still have the Lego Fort Max -- about the size of an Autobot car in robot mode -- I built when I was 10.)
I imagined a Space sub-group who looked like the Autobot Headmasters (Gort, Duros, Spike...). I even used LDraw to make Lego versions of Brainstorm and Highbrow (in vehicle mode). Somewhere in my lines of LDraw code, there is a small blue homage to Soundwave, sitting on a table, next to a 2x2 45-deg. slope block "computer".

First it was Predaking and Bruticus, and I thought "wow, that's pretty cool". But no, they had to release Superion, and produce mini's of Springer and Bludgeon. I am suddenly very interested in these "micro changers".

Is "Quickslinger" the new name for Slingshot? It's cool that they're selling him as a separate fig, since the combiners only have four.

Some of these alt modes make me laugh my ass off though. Just look at Inferno. But understandable given the way they're made.

Also, I wonder if they'll do a Tarantulas from some of those Airachnid parts, especially since they've done Waspinator and Scorponok already.

I've raytraced back in 2000, but will either have to A.) See if I still have a few of the old images left, or B.) re-raytrace some of the scenes I made.

[IMG] The original has a hand-drawn and colored image of Fortress Maximus's head, Marvel version. The rifle is LDraw exclusive, but the pieces to make it do exist.

I see the combiners and I can't help but wonder, "can the combining parts be added to the regular Transforming Kreons?"
"Will we see Kreo Combining Craziness like Scramble City could only dream!?"

"Is a Waspinator-Swindle-Dirge-Scorponok combiner possible!?! And if so, should it even be attempted!?!?!?!"

    Thanks, Onslaught24.
Most of my good guys in the H-Masters have torsoes based on the Explorien torsoes, with a symbol that looks like a cross between the outline of an Autobot symbol and an Interstate highway shield. The bad guys' torsoes look like the Decepticon Planes' chest, with one group having a black "painted" design, and another wearing silver. (The flight commander, of course, wears red. ;)  ) Most of their vehicles were "stolen" from other Lego space groups.

That Vortex set is looking sweeter by the day. I think that might be the first set I buy without the intent of cannibalizing it for parts.

I just thought of something, Micro-Changers Wave 1 Single packs have 24 figures and Wave 1 Combiner Packs have 16 figures for a grand total of 40 figures so far at launch.

And all of them can be taken apart and put back together again into a infinite number of Characters and Combinations.

    Who wouldn't?

I can imagine people doing to the blind packs like they're doing to the Lego counterpart. People finger fucking the packs and getting a feel on which figure is inside. When it comes to last few on the shelves, they all look like someone crumpled them up and threw them back on the shelves.

I don't think that's meant to be Omega. Looks more like this guy:

Singe / Scorch seems more plausible.

Also, they seem to have lost the rights to Slingshot. Quickslinger? lol.
