This is a good point, retailers may be leary since those repaints are clogging the shelves. There is no way for them to know Soundwave is superior.

 

Finally... Ironhide... has come back... to Generation One!!!

Rock impersonations aside, it's about time Ironhide got his G1 homage, too bad it's not going to be LC though.

 

I actually think the red and black works very good and would have looked better on film then the all black version. That's the issue I hear more from non-Transformer fans is that they don't look distinct smith to tell apart from each other to tell who is who. If they had more color to break them up like this they would look more unique and distinct from each other.

Soundwave looks fairly good but again I wish they did more with his on screen design then they did. I like that the toy has some color to it and helps to break up the all grey body up that far to many of the disgns had. I think they could have done something else besides the mercedes symbol and grill as the chest. That being said they pulled off the design of how the toy works and reflects the movie very well and even the doors that make the actual car. Human alliance is a concept and design that I always wanted since the Transformers came out and really brings the toys into an actual scale that makes them work with each other.

 

But what does Laserbeak do? If we can't get pink Bumblebee, can we at least get a printer?

I think Laserbeak turns into Soundwave's shoulder cannon.

No. I think the dlx looks better proportioned and since dlx class works better for me I'm stoked the figure "appears" to look so good.

Holy crap, every time there's a Convention that showcases/announces toys I swear I can feel my debt. ...Here I thought I was all well 'n good with what I had (sorta) and then this happened. I NEED this figure, gosh darnit, the fact that it comes with Laserbeak makes the deal even sweeter.

I'm not really feeling it personally - It's not as good as Jazz anyway. the legs really let it down and it's got the same problem Human Alliance Roadbuster and Transformers Prime Knockdown has - a really flimsy chest.

I'd buy it but only for the car mode and for Laserbeak

But as someone said likewise I'm not going to pay that much attention to it as I'll probably never see it at retail anyway.

I hope they do a better job with a HA Topspin.

And yes I agree that the Deluxe has more appeal the Deluxe had better legs better proportions (i.e. all it's mass isn't in the arms) and the legs don't look like a walking tree.
