These came out a very long time ago in the 80s (if I remembered correctly, I bought them in 1988) ...and they were Japanese Candy Toys unlike the SD Gundam model kits. I had Optimus, Megatron and the one pictured above (I can't remember whether its Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime).

If you're getting those, you'd better get these too:

They've actually got choro-q alt modes with working pull-back-and-go wheels. Even Megatron.

Uh.. SDs? I don't know, I think I snagged them kinda randomly on yahoo japan. I think Alphie has a few, she might know more. I know I've seen similar ones made of Armada guys, and a seperate line of SDs of BW characters. (Well, I'm assuming it's a seperate line.)

Yep, I believe that is what they are called. They came in little red balls, found in 7-11s in Japan, I think. Memory is fuzzy. Hoping to get the whole set sometime soon.

Actually the Rodimus one did not come in a red bubble, it came in a box and was unassembled, you have to add arms, and feet to the body and there is a sticker for the eyes. I have a fort max one, and it show Rodimus as a cross sell

I have a whole box of 'em, and I've already took out the ones I wanted so I'm selling the rest. I'll probably list more of those weird combinations soon...

Those are awesome, I've seen them before but I've never seen any up for auction. I really need the that Primal, and the Lio Convoy from the other set.

Just in case there's any confusion, the toys in posts #1, #3, #6, and #17 are from entirely different series, and unrelated to one another.

All, however, are quite cool! I've got the Choro-Qs, Q-Robos, and a ton of the BW guys. Addictive little boogers.
