    i want to smooth out the face of a transformer and get rid of the lines on it
    is there any sculpting stuff that would hold to the plastic?

    Yes there is. It's called Fixit-Sculpt from Aves. It is a two part epoxy type of compound, but is completely safe to use unlike the hardware brands of epoxy. Another product is called green stuff from game workshops. Again this is a two part epoxy (one side is blue and the other yellow) you kneed a piece until the color turns green. You then cans apply it to the surface and sculpt away. Both products harden over time, which is great, because you do not want to bake plastic in the oven.
