I hear scramble city is on the new dvd. but my question is what is Scramble city?
I think that it's something about transforming metroplex. There's a website with a bunch of pics from it.
Here's that website. http://transformersforever Look under image galleries 2.
Wikipedia entry for Scramble City
It's on YouTube. Just type in "scramble city" and it'll turn up a few results.
The version that I watched was extremely underwhelming. It sounded like some kids overdubbed it with their own voices, and the basic gist of everything seemed to more or less just be an excuse to feature as many combiner teams as possible... and done VERY poorly in the process. It's not at all a gap filler from Season 2 to the movie as many people have claimed. It's just kind of a stand alone episode that means relatively squat to anything.
Thanks for letting me know
It's a random one off episode. Not bad, though it's far from one of the best TF shows ever.
Most of the common misconceptions have been cleansed out of the Wikipedia article, but it still claims that SC was intended to "bridge the gap" between seasons 2 and 3 of the US cartoon, which doesn't make any sense. I mean, Scramble City introduces Ultra Magnus, and... and... and...
scramble city was the first japanese only tf animation that was a straight to video release. it introduced several after movie characters but fails to point out what happened to the g1 characters so it doesn't bridge the gap between fight super robot life and transformers 2010.
if you want to see absolute crap look for scramble city two
scramble city was supposed to bridge the gap in super robot life and 2010, bec japan didnt get TF: the movie till much later (around 89 i think), but i think because of one reason or another, they didnt finish this oav and had to introduce us to rodimus, galvatron and the rest thru stop motion animation in scramble city 2.
You can also check it out here http://tfcog.com/
There is no such thing as "Scramble City 2". There is a stop motion toy animation thing that retells the story of the original SC animation with the addition of Galvatron. Rodimus and the other movie characters don't appear in either Scramble City nor Scramble City Toys.
It doesn't bridge any gap. Its first and foremost purpose is to spotlight the combiners.
