EDIT: http://www.shapeways.com/model/200111/truck_robot.html?gid=ug25757 I'll be offering them all as a set later (which is how you'll get the combiner parts), but if anyone wants a loose one, here you go.

So, as some of you may remember from back in, um, January (i think?), Anti-Venom and I had a little contest to see who could build the best Scout class Predaking. It was an open competition (well, invitation, as competitions are SQ7's sworn enemies ;)  ), and our definition was simple: build a Predaking with each individual component robot being Scout Class or smaller.

I, of course, realised that there are practically no animal molds out there today in the sizes i'd need without resorting to crappy Minicons. So, I went for a Cybertron mode Predaking.

This is the first component, Headstrong. Since Figueroa only stated Razorclaw was a drill and Rampage a catapult, i had to improvise for the others. Headstrong i envisioned as a half-track truck: something really strong at the front that you wouldn't want ramming into you. It's worth mentioning he wasn't originally going to be so...um, is kawaii the right term? But i guess it's grown on me. I now affectionately call him "Chibi-Strong".

    Anyways, enough history.

He features 12 points of articulation, including ball jointed shoulders, elbows, waist, hips, neck and a swivel at the knee and in the upper leg (the upper leg is actually a ball joint, but it works as a swivel).

The combiner ports i've tried to hide as well as i could: one's on his chest, and the other masquerades as a trailer hitch (there's no trailer, obviously). Sadly, i couldn't make working wheels in this one, but at least i managed to keep his weight down, so he's not back heavy (the entire truck cab is hollow).

Not half bad. Could use some more detailing, but pretty cool nonetheless.
You ought to get some more photos showing off his posability. :)

MUY impressive! I'm not crazy about vehicular Predacons (I'm in the camp that thinks they were Cybertonian-fauna before coming to earth and getting the earth-critter modes), but as a simple stand alone figure this is a pretty impresive Shapeways kit!
