I'm not going to miss a band that was less than mediocre. Hopefully STP can evolve beyond just a summer tour....that is if Weiland can stay cleaned up this time.

Axl is busy making Chinese Democracy to get me my Dr. Pepper. I liked the first album, second was so-so. I'm interested to see if STP puts out some new stuff now that they're back together.

Velvet Revolver's first album was great, I agree the second one was a little more ho-hum to me.

So, STP is getting back together then?

I wonder who Velvet Revolver will pick up as a replacement.

That guy needs to spend a full year or two in rehab with no interruptions.

You'd have to be a smackhead to be in a band with those guys and blow it.

Picked up VRs first album and thought it was just okay. Never got the second. STP getting back together far outweighs VR's inevitable demise. Hafta see if they're coming anywhere close; I only got to see them all of once over their 10 years or so, as their touring was erratic due to Weiland's problems.

I saw VR last year, it was a good show. I can't say I am surprised the whole thing didn't last though.

Not really surprised but that's too bad. Always liked VR, I am also a big fan of STP. Would be cool to have them back. I know the DeLeo brothers are on a break from Army of Anyone as Richard Patrick is back with Filter for awhile, I would love to see a new album perhaps from STP.

It won't be long before Weiland falls out of favor with STP again.

To me, Scott Weiland was always the weakest part of Velvet Revolver. I really hope they find someone better who can actually stay sober.

Stone Temple Pilots, while I like their earlier albums, is responsible for the worst concert I've ever been to, so their reunion does absolutely nothing for me.

Filter is already on tour. The Austin stop is in about 3 weeks. Depending on my schedule, I'll try to go. I was going to go see them back in '02, but the rest of the tour was canceled when Patrick pulled a Weiland or whatever.
