The VA panel just let out and during it scott let down that he and several other BW vets are voicing a new TF show.

I'm assuming this new show is probably "Transformers:Heroes," which we've heard about aaaaand, so far as I remember, isn't the classics show.

I wonder if it's a more kiddie friendly show featuring the Movie toys?

    MY MIND BOGGLES.

yeah, i figure its that too. but i was hoping that they would just repackage some classics toys as heroes, then we could have more then 2 waves of classics...and a show...

Hmm, I wonder what Don Murphy meant when he mentioned (in a serious, non-joking, predominantly non-swearing post) that there was going to be an OVA that would appear before the movie's debut. As I recall he said it was going to be made by 'the same company that animated Cybetron'.

That would be kinda nice. Logically, and based on the way we've seen Hasbro market products (Alternators, Masterpiece toys, Titanium, etc. don't have a show tie-in) I'm kinda assuming we won't see the classics characters as characters in the new show, but I'm certainly in the same boat as you - it'd be really cool to see!

God I hope not. I hate the animation for Cyberton. The whole hybrid CGI / Anime is so bad and ugly.

I assume he meant that there'd be an OVA out before the movie, animated by Gonzo. It was mentioned quite awhile back actually.

Chronicles of Riddick and Van Helsing both had one too.

Well, Gonzo is a good studio, its just that GF had a rather low budget. The CG animation was fairly impressive for what they had to work with.

But at the end of the day what animation they do depends on whomever is writing the cheques wants.

You really think they would do a classics show?

No. They aren't. Classics is filler, period.

I've lived without a show since Beast Machines came out. It's not really that difficult.

Doubt it given that Aaron Archer stated the movie will have no influence on any other part of the TF property.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if this OVA was a 'classics inspired' thing, lets face it, there's a good chunck of Classics characters also in the movie....it'd help kids espically get to know characters like Bumblebee, who they don't really know.

As for a new TF show....sounds like it'd probably be Hero's, or the post-movie toyline. Good to hear it'll be a bunch of BW VA's again...but then again, hopefully the writing will be as clever and intriguing as BW had.....

I like the name "Transformers:Heroes". I personally would've preferred the classics line to be called that instead.

Classics is not filler. Aaron Archer said so today. I was there when he said it.

No, that is NOT what Scott said. He said they were doing a new cartoon in LA. Scott and the others work in Canada. He said he knew of the cartoon but he was not a part of it.
