I snagged classics Bumblebee, Rodimus and Astrotrain today, actually Astrotrain is for my 2nd son's birthday in a few weeks so he didn't get opened.

Anyway - DAMN Bumblebee and Rodimus are two of the best deluxe sized figures I have ever gotten my hands on, the only ones that even come close here recently are Cybertron Downshift and Crosswise/Smokescreen.

I can't believe how detailed they are for their size. Nor can I believe how much fun these guys are, I feel like I'm 9 years old again! They really did a good job of catching the spirit of G1 with these guys.

I'll write a full review of them in the feedback section later after I get a chance to fiddle with them more, I only had time to open them and transform them once before I had to go to work.

yeha, Bumblebee's truly amazing ~ a little piece of TF perfection, Hot Rod's got some issues that bum me out, but was better than i expected...

    Agreed!
Bumblebee sits atop my work compy as we speak. Perfection, indeed.
Astrotrain, not so much. He's a strong attempt, but Bumblebee is TEH BEST.

Hehe. They are great. Got mine last week. Megatron is the absolute star of wave 1, with Prime and Starscream coming in right behind him.

I was a bit disappointed with Bee, Train, and Roddy. Bee needs a gun. I'm sorry, every other character has one, Bee needs one too. Astrotrain I like, but very disappointed in his train mode. Seems way too forced. and Roddy, well he's just not all that articulated. I wish they could have found a way to make his arm's more articulate rather than just up/down, and a very little side to side.

Sweet man, where'd you find them at?

A Bashford Walmart lady let me sort through a case of them , but I already had most in the mail (still waiting) and only bought the one I needed. It was a BIG TEASE though!

Glad you got them , was afraid you were going to stick with Alts only.

EDIT- NM, just checked the Sightings thread. Target supposed to stock em on the 15th. You can probably score the rest then, or the 16th to be sure.

Bumblebee is the best that I have out of Roddy and Astrotrain.

I really think Hot Rod is underrated. I love it.

Astrotrain, as I suspected, is a disappointment. The paint on the white plastic just looks knock-offish. but overall, I'm satisfied.

Starscream is the best of the bunch imo.. Good articulation and looks like his G1 self.. Hot Rod is good too though. I actually love astrotrain.. Sure train mode is iffy, but his kicks ass still..

Classics is the best line yet.. No bad figures (yet)
